Village
A village is a human settlement or community, larger than a hamlet but smaller than a town with a population typically ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand. Selo in Java, Indonesia, is a village on the saddle of ground between two volcanoes in Central Java, Mount Merbabu and Mount Merapi. Čabar is a town in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in western Croatia. Name Čabar is known as ''Čeber'' in the local dialect. The name is believed to derive from the Illyrian word ''ziaber'' 'clearing'. History In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Čabar was a district capital in the Modruš-Rijeka County of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia. On 21 February 1852 by a decree of the Ban of Croatia and Slavonia, Josip Jelačić, a Chamber of Commerce and Industry () was to be founded in Rijeka with jurisdiction over Čabar. Selo pri Žirovnici () is one of ten villages in the Municipality of Žirovnica in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.
