Styrian Seeberg Pass
Styrian Seeberg Pass (also the Aflenzer Seeberg) (el. 1253 m.) is a high mountain pass in the Austrian Alps, located in the '' Bundesland'' of Styria, east of the Hochschwab Mountains. The pass forms the most important connection between the Mürz Valley at Kapfenberg and the pilgrimage destination of Mariazell (as well as neighboring Lower Austria). At the same time, it forms the division between the watersheds of the Mur and the Enns. The Styrian Seeberg's name serves to differentiate from Seeberg Saddle on the border between Carinthia and Slovenia, which is also called the ''Carinthian Seeberg''. Seeberg Observatory
Gotha Observatory (''Seeberg Observatory'', ''Sternwarte Gotha'' or ''Seeberg-Sternwarte'') was a German astronomical observatory located on Seeberg hill near Gotha, Thuringia, Germany. Initially the observatory was dedicated to astrometry, geodetic and meteorological observation and tracking the time. The minor planet 1346 Gotha was named after the city of Gotha in recognition of the observatory. History Planning for the observatory began in 1787 by the court astronomer Baron Franz Xaver von Zach, with the financing of Ernest II, Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg. It was based upon the Radcliffe Observatory in Oxford, England. The building was divided into five parts, with the central section holding a revolving dome. There were two wings to provide quarters for the staff. During Peter Andreas Hansen's term, the observatory was dismantled and moved to a less exposed location in Gotha. Seeberg Saddle
Seeberg Saddle (german: Seebergsattel, sl, Jezerski vrh), also just Seeberg (''Jezersko'') is a high mountain pass connecting Bad Eisenkappel in the Austrian state of Carinthia with Jezersko in the Slovenian region of Carinthia. It is located in the Southern Limestone Alps, between the Karawanks range in the west and the Kamnik–Savinja Alps in the east. The road across the pass is probably of Roman origin, leading from the Drava valley in the Noricum province towards the city of Aquileia. The border at the summit was implemented after the dissolution of Austria-Hungary by the 1919 Treaty of Saint-Germain. Today the Seeberg Highway (B 82) heads from the Austrian side up to the border crossing on the pass. Directly behind the Slovenian border station is an inn. On the Slovenian side, the state road No. 210 descends from the Seeberg down to Jezersko, offering a panoramic view of the Kamnik Alps. Gitte Seeberg
Gitte Seeberg (born 25 June 1960 in Copenhagen) is a Danish politician, lawyer, and current secretary general of the Danish branch of the WWF. She was a member of the Danish Folketinget parliament for the Conservative People's Party and New Alliance, and has previously been a Member of the European Parliament. Biography Seeberg earned a Degree in law from Copenhagen University in 1986. She then worked as a commercial property agent and ran an independent legal practice. In 1994, Seeberg was elected to represent the Conservative People's Party in the Danish Folketinget parliament. The trio of her, Lene Espersen, Henriette Kjær were seen as a breath of fresh air to the Conservatives, while political rivals nicknamed them "April, May, and June", after Daisy Duck's nieces in Disney comics. Peter Seeberg
Peter Seeberg (22 June 1925 – 8 January 1999) was a Danish modernist novelist and playwright, inspired by the French existentialists. He made his literary debut in 1956 with the novel ''Bipersonerne''. He was born in Skrydstrup in Haderslev Municipality Peter Seeberg graduated from Haderslev Cathedral school in 1943 and pursued an education as an archaeologist. Together with his authorship was he a museum custodian in Viborg. Seeberg graduated with a Magister Artium (The Artists Teacher) in 1951 from University of Copenhagen, with a concentration on Friedrich Nietzsche. Seeberg's own life mirrored Nietzsche's life; they both had distant mothers and both their fathers died early. Seeberg's own father was also an author and was a missionary priest. Seeberg's entire family was Christian and according to Seeberg's own journal, was centered on a jealous and vengeful God. Xenia Seeberg (born Anke Wesenberg; 4 April 1967) is a German film and television actress. She is perhaps best known for her role as Xev Bellringer in the science fiction television series ''Lexx''.
