''See You on the Other Side'' is the seventh studio album by American nu metal band Korn. It was released on December 6, 2005, by Virgin Records. It is their first album as a quartet after the departure of long-time guitarist Brian "Head" Welch and the last album with original drummer David Silveria before he had departed from the band in December 2006. The album was first certified gold in the United States on January 12, 2006; a subsequent platinum record certification was awarded on March 16, 2006. In the album, Korn experimented with different musical styles and even collaborated with pop music producers The Matrix. Critical reaction of the album was generally positive. David Silveria
David Randall Silveria (born September 21, 1972) is an American musician, best known as the original drummer for nu metal band Korn from 1993 until leaving the band in 2006. He then became the drummer for Infinika, which was formed in 2012 and disbanded in 2015. As of 2019, Silveria was the drummer of a band called Breaking in a Sequence (B.I.A.S). Gothic rock (also called goth rock or simply goth) is a style of rock music that emerged from post-punk in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s. "Here to Stay" is a song by American nu metal band Korn that appears on the band's fifth studio album, '' Untouchables'' as the album's opening track. It was released as the album's first single in June 2002. The song won the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance, as well as winning an award for Best International Video on MuchMusic in 2002. It was also nominated for Best Rock Video at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards and Best Single at the 2002 Kerrang! Awards. The music video, directed by The Hughes Brothers was highly successful, and gained frequent airplay on MTV and MuchMusic in particular, featuring the band members on a TV screen amongst major world issues at the time. James "Munky" Shaffer
James Christian Shaffer (born June 6, 1970), also known by his stage name "Munky", is an American musician best known as a co-founder and guitarist of the nu metal band Korn. He was ranked at No. 26 of Guitar World's 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists of All Time. Shaffer set up the side-project band Fear and the Nervous System in 2008 and is also the founder of Emotional Syphon Recordings, who have signed acts like Monster in the Machine and Droid.
