Templederry Kenyons GAA
Templederry Kenyons GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the village of Templederry. History Templederry affiliated as a club in 1887 with FR J. Frost C.C. and James Coughlan of Latteragh the leading organisers. However, from 1906 to the end of the 1920s the club had very little success. In 1931, a re-united Templederry parish team reached the North Tipperary Intermediate hurling final for the first time and had a comprehensive 7–4 to 3–3 victory over Roscrea. Templederry then went up to Senior but were unable to make the breakthrough and returned to Intermediate ranks in the late 1930s. Hurling ( ga, iománaíocht, ') is an outdoor team game of ancient Gaelic Irish origin, played by men. One of Ireland's native Gaelic games, it shares a number of features with Gaelic football, such as the field and goals, the number of players and much terminology. The same game played by women is called camogie ('), which shares a common Gaelic root. Tipperary Senior Hurling Team
The Tipperary county hurling team represents Tipperary in hurling and is governed by Tipperary GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Munster Senior Hurling Championship and the National Hurling League. 2023 Tipperary County Hurling Team Season
The 2023 season was Liam Cahill's first year as manager of the Tipperary senior hurling team, having been appointed on 18 July 2022 on a three year term. On 13 July 2022, the Tipperary management committee had relieved Colm Bonnar from his duties as Tipperary senior hurling manager after one year in charge with Liam Cahill named as the new manager five days later. The team were sponsored for the second year by financial services technology solutions company Fiserv. On 15 November 2022, Noel McGrath was named as the new captain of the team with 2022 captain Ronan Maher as vice-captain. The 2023 National Hurling League, known for sponsorship reasons as the Allianz Hurling League, was the 92nd season of the National Hurling League, an annual hurling competition held in Ireland for county teams.
