Scottish Busmen's Union
The Scottish Busmen's Union was a trade union representing bus drivers and conductors in Scotland. The union was in existence by 1929, and was based in Edinburgh. It merged into the Transport and General Workers' Union in 1934. The Transport and General Workers' Union (TGWU or T&G) was one of the largest general union, general trade unions in the United Kingdom and Ireland—where it was known as the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers' Union (ATGWU)—with 900,000 members (and was once the largest trade union in the world).
