Scott Edward Stewart (born August 14, 1975) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Career Stewart was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 20th round of the 1994 MLB Draft. He played for the Gulf Coast Rangers in 1994 and the Charleston RiverDogs in 1995 before the Rangers released him. He hooked up with the Gulf Coast Twins to finish the season. He played in an independent league in 1996 and then was purchased by the New York Mets who sent him to the St. Lucie Mets in 1997 and then to the Binghamton Mets (1998–1999) and Norfolk Tides (1998–2000). Signed as a minor league free agent by the Montreal Expos in 2001, he played for the Ottawa Lynx briefly and then made his MLB debut with the Expos that year, appearing in 62 games in 2001, 67 in 2002 and 51 in 2003 for Montreal. He was one of the principal co-founders of The Orphanage, a prolific Los Angeles effects house that worked on dozens of high-profile projects. As a director, he helmed the dark fantasy action-horror films ''Legion'' and ''Priest'', and the alien abduction thriller ''Dark Skies''. Scott Alexander Stewart (born 29 April 1996) is a Scottish footballer who plays for Arbroath as a full-back or midfielder. He began his career at Airdrieonians. Career Airdrieonians Stewart was born in Edinburgh but raised in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire where he attended Stonelaw High School. His father Sandy was a footballer who spent the majority of his career with the original Airdrieonians club and also served as player and manager at its successor Airdrie United, where Scott began his career in the youth setup. Scott James Stewart is an Australian politician. He has been the Labor member for Townsville in the Queensland Legislative Assembly since February 2015. Stewart was a high school principal and educator in the Townsville region. He was the principal of Pimlico State High School when he contested the seat of Townsville. During his time in education Scott established a boxing program, aimed at helping under-achieving indigenous students re-engage with schooling through sport. Scott and his wife Jackie moved to Townsville in 1999 to raise their three children. He is a volunteer with Townsville Rotary and sits on several committees including the North Queensland Stadium Activation Group, Community Aviation Consultation Group, CBD Taskforce, Regional Economic Development Sub-Committee, Palm Island Economic Development and Palm Island Liveability Project.
