The Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE; ar, الهيئة السعودية للمهندسين) is a professional body intended to promote the engineering profession and develop and upgrade its standards and those practicing it. It operates under the supervision of Ministry of Commerce and Investment with headquarters in Riyadh. Overview and responsibilities The Council was established by a royal decree issued by the King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud in 2002. Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ( ar, فهد بن عبد العزيز آل سعود ''Fahd ibn ʿAbd al ʿAzīz Āl Suʿūd'', ; 1920, 1921 or 1923 – 1 August 2005) was a Saudi Arabian politician who was King and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia from 13 June 1982 until his death in 2005.
