Sarah (Thin Lizzy Song)
"Sarah" is a pop song released in 1979 by Irish rock group Thin Lizzy, included on their album, '' Black Rose: A Rock Legend''. The song was written by the band's frontman Phil Lynott and guitarist Gary Moore about Lynott's newborn daughter. The song was also issued as a single, and appeared on several compilation albums including '' Wild One: The Very Best of Thin Lizzy''. The song was never performed live by Thin Lizzy, but it was adopted as a live favourite by Lynott's post-Thin Lizzy project, Grand Slam,Alan Byrne, "Philip Lynott: Renegade of Thin Lizzy", Mentor, 2012 and featured on '' Live in Sweden 1983'', a recording of Lynott's solo band. Phil Lynott
Philip Parris Lynott (, ; 20 August 1949 – 4 January 1986) was an Irish musician, songwriter, and poet. He was the co-founder, lead vocalist, bassist, and primary songwriter for the hard rock band Thin Lizzy. He was known for his distinctive plectrum, pick-based style on the bass and for his imaginative lyrical contributions, including working-class tales and numerous characters drawn from personal influences and Celts (modern), Celtic culture. Lynott was born in the West Midlands (region), West Midlands of England and grew up in Dublin with his grandparents. He remained close to his mother, Philomena Lynott, Philomena, throughout his life. Hugh Anthony Cregg III (born July 5, 1950), known professionally as Huey Lewis, is an American actor and former singer-songwriter. David Flett is a Scottish rock guitarist, best known for performing with Manfred Mann's Earth Band and Thin Lizzy. Career Early years and Manfred Mann Flett began his career with local groups in Aberdeen such as Cat Squirrel, Once Upon a Band and Pinto. He later moved to London and joined an all-Aberdeen group called Jock. While he was living in London, he was recommended to Manfred Mann and subsequently joined Manfred Mann's Earth Band, with whom he made his debut on their 1975 autumn tour of America. Wild Horses were a British rock music, rock band, active from 1978 to 1981. History Wild Horses was formed in the summer of 1978 by ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist Brian Robertson (guitarist), Brian Robertson and ex-Rainbow (English band), Rainbow bassist Jimmy Bain.
