The Santos de Soledad Fútbol Club, commonly known as Santos, was a Mexican football club based in San Luis Potosí City. The club was founded in 2013, and played in the Liga Premier de Ascenso of Segunda División de México. History The club was founded in 2013, at first it was planned as a reserve team of Atlético San Luis, however, finally the movement did not materialize, although, due to administrative issues the team competed under the name of Atlético San Luis B. In the 2013–14 season, the team reached the finals of the Apertura and Clausura tournaments, losing both series, one to Pioneros de Cancún and the other to Selva Cañera. In 2014, the club bought the franchise belonging to Bravos de Nuevo Laredo, for which it was promoted to the Liga Premier de Ascenso. In addition, after this move, the team was officially called Santos de Soledad. The 2013–14 Liga de Nuevos Talentos season was split in two tournaments Apertura and Clausura. Liga de Nuevos Talentos was the fourth–tier football league of Mexico. The season was played between 9 August 2013 and 24 May 2014. The Serie A has 38 teams (5 Liga de Expansión MX Reserve Teams and 33 Serie A Teams) divided into three groups. For the 2024–25 season, it will be a return of a short tournament format (Apertura & Clausura) consisting of 11 group matches and 3 inter-group matches (14 total) played home & away and the liguilla. The top two teams from each group and the two best third places at the end of the season will play in the Liguilla for a spot to play for promotion to Liga de Expansión MX provided that their stadiums meet the requirements to ascend. Deportivo Pioneros de Cancún F.C. is a football team based in Cancún, México that plays in the Liga Premier Serie A. History The club was founded on May 3, 1984, and in the same year joined the Tercera División de México. It won its first cup after defeating Los Conejos, at the Estadio Víctor Manuel Reyna in the city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. The following year, the club finished in third place and played in a promotional playoff with the Lobos and Aguilas B clubs. As a result, the club was promoted to the Segunda B.
