Santos Laguna
Club Santos Laguna S.A. de C.V., simply known as Santos Laguna or Santos, is a Mexican professional football club based in Torreón, Coahuila. The club competes in Liga MX, the top division of Mexican football. Founded in 1983 as Club Santos IMSS Laguna by the Mexican Social Security Institute of the state of Durango, and the following year it changed to its current name. Santos Laguna reached Mexico's top division after buying Ángeles de Puebla. The club debuted in first division in the 1988–89 season. Domestically, Santos Laguna has won 6 Liga MX championships, as well as 1 Copa MX and 1 Campeón de Campeones cup. It has also reached the finals of the CONCACAF Champions League twice, finishing runners-up on both occasions. Estadio Corona
The Estadio Corona is a stadium in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico, and the home stadium of Santos Laguna of Liga MX. History It was completed in 2009, it has a standard capacity of 30,000, with 20,000 for special events. The stadium's total cost was US$100 million. The stadium replaced the older Estadio Corona (1970), Estadio Corona, built in 1970 with a capacity of just 18,000. The stadium is part of the Territorio Santos Modelo. Inauguration The inauguration of the stadium took place on November 11, 2009, with a football match between Santos Laguna and Santos FC. Luis Richard Zambrano Chávez (; born 20 May 1967), known as just Richard Zambrano, is a Chilean former professional footballer. Career Zambrano had successful spells in his country and Mexico and retired in 2006, aged 39. His last club was Arturo Fernández Vial, the club where he debuted as a professional after a period of play for Deportes Laja in the mid-1980s. He also played in Venezuela for Deportivo Italchacao in 2001. Héctor Raimundo Adomaitis Larrabure (born June 12, 1970) is a former Argentine footballer who played for clubs in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico and Chile. Miguel Ernesto Herrera Aguirre (born 18 March 1968), popularly referred to by his nickname "Piojo" (Spanish for "louse"), is a Mexican professional football manager and former player.
