Saneamento Básico
''Saneamento Básico'' ( Portuguese for "basic sanitation") is a 2007 Brazilian comedy film written and directed by Jorge Furtado. It stars Fernanda Torres, Wagner Moura, Camila Pitanga, Bruno Garcia, Lázaro Ramos, Tonico Pereira and Paulo José. Plot The people of Linha Cristal, a fictitious village of Italo-Brazilian descendants in Serra Gaúcha, gather to discuss the construction of a septic tank for sewage treatment. They form a commission which is responsible in ordering the budget to the town hall. The secretary of the mayor recognizes the need of the tank, but informs that there is no budget available. There is, however, R$10,000 available for the production of a film. This money was sent by the federal government and will be sent back if not used soon. Jorge Furtado
Jorge Alberto Furtado (born June 9, 1959) is a Brazilian film and television director and screenwriter. Life and career Furtado attended university for courses in medicine, psychology, journalism and arts, but did not graduate. He began his professional career in the 1980s on a local channel TVE-RS working as reporter, presenter, editor, screenwriter and producer. In 1982 created a TV show ''Quizumba'', that mixed fiction and documentary with very audacious language for the Brazilian public television. Between 1984 and 1986, Furtado was director of the museum Museu de Comunicação Social Hipólito José da Costa in Porto Alegre. At the same time, with the help of José Pedro Goulart and Ana Luiza Azevedo, he created the company Luz Produções, where he made two short films and produced plays for theater. B Movie
A B movie, or B film, is a type of cheap, low-budget commercial motion picture.
