Sandymount Railway Station
Sandymount railway station (), also known as Sandymount DART station, serves Sandymount and Ballsbridge (including RDS Simmonscourt) in Dublin, Ireland. It has two platforms, both fully accessible via ramps along with a night gate from platform 2 to street level. There is a level crossing as the railway line crosses Sandymount Avenue. The level crossing is a MCB-CCTV (manual-controlled barrier level crossing) with code XR-003. History Sandymount Halt was originally opened in January 1835. The station has had several periods of closure: from 1841 to 1860; 1862 to 1882; 1901 to 1928 and from 1960 until it reopened in 1984. The station was reopened with the electrification of Dublin suburban rail services - launched as the DART. Ranelagh Luas Stop
Ranelagh ( , ; ) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2004 as a stop on the Green Line from St Stephen's Green to Sandyford. It provides access to the urban villages of Ranelagh and Rathmines. Location and access The Green Line re-uses the alignment of the Harcourt Street railway line, which closed in 1958. The Luas stop at Ranelagh is on a stretch of track where the line crosses Ranelagh Road on a viaduct. The Harcourt Street line did not have a station here (a station called ''Rathmines and Ranelagh'' was situated further down the line, at the location of the present Beechwood Luas stop). Sydney Parade Railway Station
Sydney Parade Railway Station () is a suburban stationlocated on Sydney Parade Avenue in Dublin 4, Ireland. History The station opened on 1 January 1835, as a halt on the Dublin and Kingstown Railway. In 1852, it was upgraded to a full station with the construction of shelters, stone platforms and a footbridge. It was named after Sidney Herbert, 1st Baron Herbert of Lea. The station was closed between 12 September 1960 and 6 June 1972. It was electrified in 1984 with the launch of DART services. Lansdowne Road railway station () is a railway station in Dublin, Ireland. The station serves the Ballsbridge, Irishtown and Upper Baggot Street areas of Dublin 4. Facilities and services The station has two through platforms, 1 is the northbound platform and platform 2 is for southbound services. These are connected via a subway. Both have separate entrances as there is a level crossing adjacent to the station on Lansdowne Road. There are 2 automated ticket vending machines at each entrance. Greystones
Greystones () is a coastal town and seaside resort in County Wicklow, Ireland. It lies on Ireland's east coast, south of Bray and south of Dublin city centre and has a population of 22,009, according to the 2022 census. The town is bordered by the Irish Sea to the east, Bray Head to the north and the Wicklow Mountains to the west. It is the second largest town in County Wicklow (after Bray). The town was named after a half-mile or one-kilometre stretch of grey stones between two beaches on the seafront. Killiney () is an affluent coastal suburb on the southside of Dublin, Ireland. It lies south of Dalkey, east and northeast of Ballybrack and Sallynoggin and north of Shankill, in the local government area of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown within County Dublin. The place grew around the 11th century Killiney Church, and became a popular seaside resort in the 19th century. The area is notable for some famous residents, including two members of U2, and Enya.
