Samuel Sylvester Mills
Samuel Sylvester Mills (December 1, 1806 – January 24, 1874) was a Canadian businessman and politician. He was born in Burlington Bay, later Hamilton, in Upper Canada in 1806. He went into the business of selling hardware, also expanding into shipping, construction, mills and real estate, and quickly became one of the richest people in the area at the time. He served on the town council for Hamilton. Mills also served as president of the Gore Bank. In 1849, he was appointed to the Legislative Council of the Province of Canada. Samuel John Mills
Samuel John Mills Jr. (April 12, 1783 – June 16, 1818) was an American preacher and missionary from Connecticut. He is known for contributing to the organization of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions and to the formation of the American Colonization Society in 1817. The latter was intended to establish a colony in West Africa as a destination for free American blacks. Biography Samuel John Mills, Jr. was born in 1783 at Torringford (now part of Torrington), Connecticut, where his father Samuel John Mills (1768–1833) was a Congregational minister; his mother Esther Robbins was a homemaker and supported the ministry. Samuel is a figure who, in the narratives of the Hebrew Bible, plays a key role in the transition from the biblical judges to the Kingdom of Israel (united monarchy), United Kingdom of Israel under Saul, and again in the monarchy's transition from Saul to David. Samuel Atta Mills is a Ghanaian politician and member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Constituency in the Central Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress. Early life and education Mills was born on Thursday 26 April 1956 and hails from Kissi in the Central Region of Ghana. He had his secondary education at Mfantsipim School, where he obtained his GCE Certificate. He proceeded to Komenda College where he obtained a Diploma in Education. Following his studies at Komenda, Mills enrolled at Belmont University where he was awarded his BBA in Economics and Accounting in 1984, and his MBA in Finance and Banking in 1986. Millswood is an inner-southern mainly residential suburb of Adelaide in the City of Unley. It was named after Scotsman Samuel Mills, who arrived in the colony in 1839. Description The suburb is dissected by Goodwood Road, which travels north to the Adelaide city centre from the southern suburb of Pasadena. On the west side of Goodwood Road it is surrounded by the suburbs of Goodwood, Forestville, Black Forest and Clarence Park. Samuel Davis Mills Jr. (June 3, 1959 – April 18, 2005) was an American professional football player who was a linebacker for 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers. He also played for three seasons for the Philadelphia / Baltimore Stars of the United States Football League (USFL), where he won two championships in 1984 and 1985. Samuel Davis Mills III (born May 20, 1978) is an American football coach who is currently the defensive line coach for UAB. He has also served as a defensive line coach for the Carolina Panthers and Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He is the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Sam Mills.
