Samuel Kojo Abbey
Samuel Kojo Abbey (born 31 August 1997) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Brunei Super League club Kasuka. He has also played for teams in Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and Myanmar. Career Abbey was playing in the lower divisions of Ghana's football pyramid when he first moved abroad to Kitengela Shooters in Kenya. He then transferred to JMC Hippos who were playing in the 2015–16 Uganda Super League. He next moved to Mawyawadi FC of the MNL-2, Myanmar's second-tier club competition, in 2017. He stayed there until 2019 when he joined Dagon FC who were promoted to the 2019 Myanmar National League, and played 11 games for the Yangon side until they suffered relegation on the final day of the season. In 2021, Abbey signed for Kasuka FC of the Brunei Super League. 2023 Brunei Super League
The 2023 Brunei Super League is the ninth season of the Brunei Super League, the top league in Brunei for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2012. The league began on 3 March and will conclude in February 2024, with 16 teams playing home and away. On 15 September 2023, the league was announced to have a premature conclusion due to insufficient funds as announced by FABD in a press release. DPMM FC
Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Football Club (His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Brunei Football Club in English, commonly known as DPMM FC) is a professional football club based in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. The club played in the Brunei Premier League in the early 2000s, winning the league title in 2002 and 2004. The club then decided to play in Malaysia, and joined the Malaysian Premier League as a foreign-based team in for the 2005–06 season. They won promotion to the Malaysian Super League (the top tier of Malaysian football) at the end of their first season in Malaysian football, and then finished 3rd and 10th in the following two season in the Super League. 2022 Brunei FA Cup
The 2022 Brunei FA Cup was the 13th edition of the Brunei FA Cup and was the sole club competition organised by the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam for the year 2022. It began on August 6 and will be played until 4 December. The winner of the FA Cup will become the nation's representative for the 2023–24 AFC Cup. DPMM FC became the winners of the competition by beating Kasuka FC 2–1 in the final at Track & Field Sports Complex on 4 December. This is DPMM's second FA Cup triumph after last winning it in 2004. Competition format 32 teams were divided into groups of four, making eight groups in total. Teams will only play one round of matches, and the top two teams in the group table will advance to the knockout stage.
