Sam Rosen is an American actor and writer. Film work One of Rosen's earliest film roles, if not his first was playing a white rapist in ''The Hymens Parable'' which was directed by Jon Springer. Then he appeared as Eddie in the Bill Semans directed '' Herman U. S. A.'' which was released in 2001. In an ''International Business Times'' article about the film ''Five Days Gone'', it said that he bestowed the film with a passionate, memorable performance as the drug addicted boyfriend of Alice (played by director Anna Kerrigan. He was the lead actor and co-writer of the Brady Kiernan directed film ''Stuck Between Stations''. Sam Rosen (died 1992), often credited as S. Rosen, was an American calligrapher best known as a letterer for Marvel Comics during the period fans and historians call the Silver Age of Comic Books. Along with letterer Artie Simek, Rosen lettered and helped design logos for virtually all Marvel Comics published during the 1960s. Rosen also moonlighted for other companies during this time: he was the (uncredited) letterer for the 1965-66 Archie Comics series '' The Mighty Crusaders''. Biography Sam Rosen began his career as a comic book letterer in New York City in 1940, working on writer-artist Will Eisner's ''The Spirit'', the seven-page lead feature in a comic-book style Sunday supplement syndicated to newspapers. During this period, he also worked for Fox Comics and Benjamin W. Sangor studio, a comic book packager. Sam Rosen (born Samuel Rosenblum, August 12, 1947) is an American sportscaster and Hockey Hall of Famer, best known as the primary play-by-play announcer for the National Hockey League's New York Rangers games on MSG. On June 8, 2008, Rosen was inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. On November 14, 2016, Rosen was enshrined as the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award winner for outstanding contributions as a broadcaster by the Hockey Hall of Fame. Rosen is currently the longest-tenured active broadcaster in the NHL. Rosen's current responsibilities include Rangers telecasts and Sunday NFL games for Fox. He is paired with Joe Micheletti on Rangers broadcasts, and Charles Davis, among others, on national Fox broadcasts. 1925 USA Indoor Track And Field Championships
The 1925 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships were organized by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and served as the national championships in indoor track and field for the United States. The men's championships were held at the Jefferson County Armory in Louisville, Kentucky, and they took place February 28. Women's championships were not officially held until 1927. At the championships, Cecil Coaffee broke the world record for 60 yards in the first semifinal, running 6 seconds. The men's 2 miles steeplechase was added for the first time. It was also the first time that the pole vault for height was contested (pole vault for distance was staged previously at the championships).
