Sam Miller
Sam Miller (born 28 September 1962) is an English television director. He has worked on the BBC television dramas ''Cardiac Arrest'', '' This Life'' and '' Luther''. He works with London-based production company Mustard Film Company. He is father of the actor William Miller, who played Oliver Twist in the 2007 television adaptation. Miller has received three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special, one in 2012 for ''Luther'' and two in 2021 for ''I May Destroy You'' for the episodes "Eyes Eyes Eyes Eyes" and "Ego Death" (with Michaela Coel). Sam Miller (journalist)
Sam Miller is a journalist and writer whose first book '' Delhi: Adventures in a Megacity'' was published by Penguin India in January 2009. The book was also published in the United Kingdom by Jonathan Cape. Since then he has written several other books. These include ''A Strange Kind of Paradise: India Through Foreign Eyes'' (2014), a history of foreign attitudes toward India, and ''Fathers'' (2017), a family memoir. He also translated ''The Marvellous (but Authentic) Adventures of Captain Corcoran'' by Alfred Assollant (2017). His latest book is '' Migrants: The Story of Us All'' (2023), an alternative history of the world, in which migration is restored to the heart of the human story. Samuel Henry Miller (June 26, 1921 – March 7, 2019) was an American businessman and philanthropist who propelled the growth of Forest City Material Co. from lumber to real-estate which became Forest City Enterprises. He was the first Jew to receive an Archbishop Edward F. Hoban Award for service to the Catholic Church. Early life and education Miller's father emigrated from Russia to Ellis Island where an Irish immigrant taking names allegedly gave him the surname of Miller. Miller earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Reserve University in 1941 and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1943.
