Sam Carter (athlete)
Samuel Harrison Carter (born 6 August 1991) is a Paralympic athlete, who competes in 100m, 200m, 400m T54 events. He has represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics and 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Personal Carter was born on 6 August 1991, He attended Harristown State High School in Queensland. Before becoming a wheelchair racer, He was actively engaged in sport in particular swimming and wheelchair basketball. He then attended a sports day held by Queensland Sporting Wheelies in 2001 aimed at increasing the participation of disabled kids in sport. At the event Carter met Paralympian Geoff Trappett who won gold in the Men's T54 100m at the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games and encouraged Carter to become involved in wheelchair racing. Carter has been an ethical vegan since 2017. He currently resides in Canberra, Australia. Sporting career Carter began competing in 2003 as a junior athlete. Sam Carter is a British guitarist, singer and songwriter, originally from the English Midlands but more recently based in Sheffield. He has released four albums of mainly original material which fall loosely into the folk/roots category. Carter is the winner of the "Horizon" award for best newcomer at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2010. Highly regarded as an instrumentalist, contemporary Jon Boden of Bellowhead described him as 'the finest English-style finger-picking guitarist of his generation, and former BBC Radio Two folk show presenter Mike Harding wrote that Carter was "one of the most gifted acoustic guitarists of his generation.". Architects (British Band)
Architects is a British metalcore band from Brighton, East Sussex, formed in 2004 by twin brothers Dan and Tom Searle. The band now consists of Dan Searle on drums, Sam Carter on vocals, Alex Dean on bass, and Adam Christianson and Josh Middleton on guitars. They have been signed to Epitaph Records since 2013. Strongly influenced by bands such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, the sound of their first three albums was coarse, chaotic, and rhythmically complex. Shanna Swendson is an American author of romance novels and chick lit. She has also written under the pseudonym Samantha Carter. Swendson is perhaps best known for the "Katie Chandler" series of novels, beginning with the 2005 publication of '' Enchanted, Inc.''
