Salmovirus
''Salmovirus'', previously called ''Salmonivirus'', is a genus of viruses in the order ''Herpesvirales'', in the family ''Alloherpesviridae''. Salmonidae serve as natural hosts. There are three species in this genus. Diseases associated with this genus include: salHV-3: epizootic epitheliotropic disease. Species The genus consists of the following three species: * '' Salmovirus salmonidallo1'', also called '' Salmonid herpesvirus 1'' * '' Salmovirus salmonidallo2'', also called ''Salmonid herpesvirus 2 Salmonid herpesvirus 2 (SalHV-2) is a species of virus in the genus '' Salmovirus'', family ''Alloherpesviridae'', and order ''Herpesvirales''. The virus has been referred to as ''Oncorhynchus masou'' virus (OMV) after the disease caused by the ...'' * '' Salmovirus salmonidallo3'', also called '' Salmonid herpesvirus 3'' Structure Viruses in ''Salmovirus'' are enveloped, with icosahedral and spherical to pleomorphic geometries, and T=16 symmetry. Alloherpesviridae
''Alloherpesviridae'' is a family of viruses in the order ''Herpesvirales ''Herpesvirales'' is an order of dsDNA viruses (Baltimore group I) with animal hosts, characterised by a common morphology consisting of an icosahedral capsid enclosed in a glycoprotein-containing lipid envelope. Common infections in humans cause ...''. This family includes the species that infect fish and amphibians. Phylogenetic studies have confirmed the validity of this family and suggest that it may be divided into two clades: one consisting of viruses from cyprinid and anguillid hosts and the other of viruses from ictalurid, salmonid, acipenserid, and ranid hosts. The family has four genera. A disease associated with this family is channel catfish disease. Taxonomy ''Alloherpesviridae'' was established as a family in 2005. Genera The family contains the following four genera: * '' Batravirus'' * '' Cyvirus'' * '' Ictavirus'' * '' Salmovirus'' Structure Viruses in ''Alloherpesviridae'' are enve ...

Golden Trout
The California golden trout (''Oncorhynchus aguabonita or Oncorhynchus mykiss aguabonita'') is a species of trout native to California. The golden trout is normally found in the Golden Trout Creek (tributary to the Kern River), Volcano Creek (tributary to Golden Trout Creek), and the South Fork Kern River. The Golden trout has been the official freshwater state fish of California since 1947. The California golden trout is closely related to two rainbow trout subspecies. The Little Kern golden trout (''O. m. whitei''), found in the Little Kern River basin, and the Kern River rainbow trout (''O. m. gilberti''), found in the Kern River system. Together, these three trout form what is sometimes referred to as the "golden trout complex". Taxonomy Originally the golden trout was described as a subspecies of the salmon species, with a name ''Salmo mykiss agua-bonita'', and it is still often considered a subspecies (now called ''Oncorhynchus mykiss aguabonita' ...
