Sallie-Anne Huckstepp
Sallie-Anne Huckstepp (née Krivoshow, 12 December 1954 – 6 February 1986) was an Australian writer, sex-worker and whistle blower, who was the victim of an underworld homicide. She came to attention in 1981 for speaking out about police corruption in Sydney. Huckstepp's murder remains unsolved. Life Huckstepp was born as Sallie-Anne Krivoshow into a middle-class Jewish family and attended Dover Heights High School and Moriah College in Sydney. She left school at the age of 15 and married Bryan Huckstepp three years later. After travelling to Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Centennial Park is a suburb split between the local government area of the City of Sydney and the City of Randwick, located east from the Sydney central business district, in the eastern suburbs of Sydney in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is an integrity agency of the Government of New South Wales responsible for eliminating and investigating corrupt activities and enhancing the integrity of the state's public administration. The commission was established in 1989, pursuant to the , modeled after the ICAC in Hong Kong. It is led by a chief commissioner appointed for a fixed five-year term; and two part-time commissioners. Shirley Finn
Shirley June Finn, given name, née Shewring (2 November 1941 – 22 or 23 June 1975), was an Australian brothel keeper, nightclub operator and socialite who was shot dead at about midnight on 22–23 June 1975 in Perth, Western Australia. Her body, dressed in an elaborate ball gown and expensive jewellery, was found at dawn in her car, which was parked on a golf course next to a busy freeway. The murder is notable because of Finn's close relationship with Western Australia Police detectives who, in that era, controlled and regulated Perth's prostitution and gambling activities. Shirley Brifman
Shirley Margaret Brifman (; 7 December 1935 – 4 March 1972) was an Australian sex worker and brothel madam who was known as a whistleblower on police corruption. She died at the age of 36 in suspicious circumstances, in what was ruled a suicide. Early life Brifman was born in Atherton, Queensland, the thirteenth child of Beatrice (née Currey) and James Emerson, a labourer. She began working as a barmaid after leaving school, and in 1957, she married Szama "Sonny" Brifman, a Polish-born hotel owner; they had four children together. Juanita Nielsen
Juanita Joan Nielsen (; 22 April 1937 – disappeared 4 July 1975) was an Australian newspaper publisher, urban conservationist, and heiress. She disappeared after attending a meeting at the Carousel nightclub (also called Les Girls) in Kings Cross in Sydney on 4 July 1975. Her body has never been found. Nielsen opposed urban development on Victoria Street, Kings Cross, Sydney, initiated by property developer Frank Theeman. She also opposed his development of the nearby suburb of Woolloomooloo. It is generally believed that she was killed because of her conservationism, and there have been strong suspicions of involvement of organised crime and corrupt police. ''Crime Investigation Australia'' is an Australian true-crime series that first premiered on pay TV Foxtel's Crime & Investigation Network in August 2005. The series was also rebroadcast on the free to air Nine Network, and made its debut there on 14 August 2007.
