Sabra is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Bill Mantlo and artist Sal Buscema, the character first appeared in ''The Incredible Hulk (comic book), The Incredible Hulk'' #250 (1980), before making a full appearance in issue #256 (1981). She has been a member of the X-Corporation, and often appeared as a supporting character for the Hulk and the X-Men. Sabra Dipping Company, LLC is a U.S.-based Israeli company which produces Middle Eastern-style and other food products, including hummus and guacamole. It is wholly owned by PepsiCo. All Sabra products are certified kosher and vegetarian, and are available throughout the U.S. and Canada. As of 2024, the company held a 36% market share for hummus sales in the United States. Growth The company was founded in 1986 by Zohar Norman and Yehuda Pearl as Sabra-Blue & White Foods. The company was bought in 2005 by Israeli food manufacturer Strauss Group, Strauss. The Sabra (, " prickly pear") is an extensively upgraded M60 tank developed by Israel Military Industries. The Mk II version of this upgrade package was used in one of the Turkish Army's modernization programs. The Sabra is known as the M60T in Turkish service. Overview The Sabra was initially developed as a further evolution of the Magach 7C. The ballistic profile of the appliqué armor was improved and it incorporated the MG253 120 mm gun developed by IMI. The upgrade package was first offered to Turkey as an option for its tank modernization program and later offered for general export. The Turkish government selected the Sabra Mk II (a further modified version of the Sabra) for its upgrade program, which was intended as a stopgap measure. Sabra (Lebanon)
Sabra (Arabic: صبرا) is a neighborhood in southern Beirut, Lebanon, which falls under the municipality of Ghobeiry, Mount Lebanon Governorate. It is populated by both Lebanese and Palestinian refugees. Even with its large percentage of Palestinian residents, it is not officially considered a refugee camp, but its association with the nearby Shatila camp, which exclusively populated by refugees, leads to the impression that it is. Together they are known for being the site of the Sabra and Shatila massacre and the War of the Camps in the 1980s. They were besieged for three days by the Israeli army during their invasion of Lebanon. During this siege, a large number of residents were abducted by right-wing militia from their neighborhood and were taken to the Shatila camp, where the lives of between 800 and 2000 civilians were claimed. Gamda Koor Sabra
Gamda Koor, also known as Sabra was an Israeli diecast toy company that specialized in 1:43 scale cars. Most of these seem to have been original offerings, not seen elsewhere and ''not secondary tooling''. The toy company Cragstan marketed Gamda Sabras as "Detroit Sr." for the American Market. Company name Gamda was a toy brand name of the parent firm Habonim in Kibbutz Kfar HaNassi (Village of the President) located in Northern Israel, north of the Sea of Galilee and just adjacent to the border to the Golan Heights. The name 'Gamda' means 'midget' or 'dwarf' in Hebrew (thus 'Midget' toys). In the 1967 Six Day War with Syria the factory was damaged and repairs were needed – production soon resumed. Autocars Co. Ltd. () of Haifa, Israel, was Israel's first car manufacturer. History Autocars Ltd, founded in 1957, made fiberglass-shelled cars that were popular in Israel during the 1960s and 1970s. Sabra liqueur is a chocolate-orange flavored liqueur produced in Israel. The primary flavor of Sabra is a rich, bittersweet chocolate. The dense chocolate is cut by the sweet and sour taste of Jaffa oranges. Slightly chilling Sabra liqueur strengthens the chocolate taste, while slightly warming it brings out the citrus taste. Sabra is 30% alcohol by volume. The Sabra bottle design is based on a 2,000-year-old Phoenician wine flask found in a Tel Aviv museum.
