SPDR funds (pronounced "spider") are a family of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) traded in the United States, Europe, Mexico and Asia-Pacific and managed by State Street Global Advisors (SSGA). Informally, they are also known as Spyders or Spiders. SPDR is a trademark of Standard and Poor's Financial Services LLC, a subsidiary of S&P Global. The name is an acronym for the first member of the family, the ''Standard & Poor's Depositary Receipts'', now the SPDR S&P 500 Trust ETF, which is designed to track the S&P 500 stock market index. For a long time, the SPDR S&P 500 was the largest ETF in the world. SSGA also manage the SPDR Gold Shares, which for a while was the second-largest ETF in the world. As of August 2012, they were the first and second largest exchange-traded products in the world. The funds are formulated as unit investment trusts. ''I Love Bees'' (also known as ''ilovebees'' or ''ILB'' for short) was an alternate reality game (ARG) that served as both a real-world experience and viral marketing campaign for the release of developer Bungie's 2004 video game ''Halo 2''. The game was created and developed by 42 Entertainment. Many of the same personnel had previously created an ARG for the film ''A.I.'' titled '' The Beast''. ''I Love Bees'' was commissioned by Microsoft, ''Halo 2''s publisher and Bungie's ultimate parent company at the time. ''I Love Bees'' was first advertised by a hidden message in a ''Halo 2'' trailer; players who investigated the titular website discovered that the pages appeared to be hacked by a mysterious intelligence. The SPYDER ("Surface-to-air Python and Derby") is an Israeli short and medium range mobile air defence system developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems with assistance from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). Rafael is the prime contractor and IAI is the major subcontractor for the SPYDER program. This system achieved a notable milestone in 2005 when missiles were fired against test targets in Shdema, Israel and scored direct hits. Since then, it has been showcased in multiple military exhibitions throughout the world.
