SNCF Class X 4630
The SNCF Class X 4630 are diesel multiple units that were built by Ateliers du Nord de la France, ANF in 1974–78 and equipped with Saurer engines. The last units were all withdrawn from service in July 2011 and replaced definitively by SNCF Class X 73500, X 73500, SNCF Class X 76500, X 76500 and SNCF Class B 81500, B 81500. Adolph Saurer AG was a Swiss manufacturer of embroidery and textile machines, trucks and buses under the Saurer and Berna (beginning in 1929) brand names. The B 81500 (often called BGC) is a class of bi-mode multiple units built by Bombardier for SNCF and used on the TER network in France. They are primarily used on suburban and regional services. It has been in operation since 2005 on the TER Aquitaine, TER Bourgogne, TER Centre, TER Champagne-Ardenne, TER Languedoc-Roussillon, TER Limousin, TER Midi-Pyrénées, TER PACA, TER Pays de la Loire, and TER Rhône-Alpes lines.
