The 8mm video format refers informally to three related videocassette formats. These are the original Video8 ( analog recording) format and its improved successor Hi8 (analog video and analog audio but with provision for digital audio), as well as a more recent digital recording format known as Digital8. Their user base consisted mainly of amateur camcorder users, although they also saw important use in the professional television production field. In 1982, five companies — Sony, Matsushita, JVC, Hitachi and Philips — created a preliminary draft of the unified format and invited members of the Electronic Industries Association of Japan, the Magnetic Tape Industry Association, the Japan Camera Industry Association and other related associations to participate. As a result, a consortium of 127 companies endorsed 8-mm video format in April 1984. Fujifilm FinePix S7000
The FinePix S7000 is a 6.3 megapixel digital camera manufactured by Fujifilm. It was announced in July 2003, and has since been discontinued. It features 6x optical zoom. The S7000 can take still images in CCD-RAW or JPEG Exif Ver 2.2 up to 4,048 x 3,040 pixels using a 1/1.7-inch-type CCD sensor. This 12.3 megapixel resolution is interpolated from the approximately 6 million photodiodes on the Fujifilm 4th generation Super CCD HR sensor. While still a Bayer filter CCD with 3 million green, 1.5 million each red and blue photodiodes, the SuperCCD HR array is tilted 45 degrees. Fujifilm states that its larger equilateral octagonal photodiodes, tilted arrangement, and use of the photoelectric sensing capability of CCD vertical transfer paths enable 12 million output pixels. It has dual memory slots. The ''Saipem 7000'' is the world's third largest semi-submersible crane vessel, after the and the . It is owned by the oil and gas industry contractor Saipem S.p.A. Construction The vessel was designed by Gusto Engineering during 1984. The vessel was built between 1985 and 1987 by Fincantieri-Cantieri Navali Italiana S.p.A. at their Monfalcone yard, Trieste in north-eastern Italy. The vessel was built in two halves in a long dry dock. The halves were then floated out from the dry dock and mated. During the mating operation the halves were supported by temporary pontoons. The hull mating was complete in early 1987 and the two cranes built by Officine Meccaniche Reggiane under subcontract to American Hoist & Derrick Company (Amhoist) were installed in sections by the Saipem crane vessel '' Castoro Otto'' in April of that year.
