S51 (New York City Bus)
The S51 and S81 constitute bus routes in Staten Island, New York running primarily on Bay Street, Father Capodanno Boulevard, and Midland Avenue, between St. George Ferry Terminal and Grant City. The S51 was originally a streetcar route, that was replaced with buses in 1934. The S81 was created in 2001 as a limited-stop version of the S51. Route description The S51 begins at St. George Ferry Terminal Ramp B, and continues along Bay Street until it turns to School Road then Lily Pond Avenue to access Father Capodanno Boulevard. It then continues on the boulevard until it turns to Midland Avenue, then uses Hylan Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue to access the terminus, while buses heading northbound use Richmond Road to access Midland Avenue. Arrochar () is a neighborhood in northeastern Staten Island in New York City in the United States. It is located directly inland of Fort Wadsworth and South Beach, on the east side of Hylan Boulevard south of the Staten Island Expressway; the community of Grasmere borders it on the west. The S79 Select Bus Service constitutes a bus route in Staten Island and Brooklyn, New York (state), New York, running primarily on Richmond Avenue, Hylan Boulevard, and Narrows Road in Staten Island, and 92nd Street, Fourth Avenue (Brooklyn), Fourth Avenue, 86th Street, and Fort Hamilton Parkway in Brooklyn. It is operated by the New York City Transit Authority. The S48 was originally the R107 bus route, and was renumbered to S107, then the S48 in 1989. The S98 was created in 1995 as a limited stop variant of the S48. Route description and service The S48 begins at the St. George Ferry Terminal at Ramp C, and continues along Bay Street until it goes on Victory Boulevard.
