Ervin Rössler
Ervin Rössler or Erwin Rößler (20 August 1876 – 6 January 1933) was a Croatian zoologist. He founded the Croatian ornithological centre and was involved in studies on bird migration. He also worked on fish biology and pisciculture. He was a professor at the Zagreb Forestry Academy. Rössler was born in Kyjov, Moravia, and went to school in Osijek before going to the University of Zagreb. In 1893 he began to study bird migration in the Osijek area. He then worked a school teacher for a while and in 1900 he received a doctorate for his research on birds. In 1901 he founded the Croatian ornithological centre. In 1902 he published a list of the birds of Croatia. He also studied the lacertid lizards of the south Dalmatian islands. In 1904 he began to work on ornithology at the university while teaching in the faculty of agriculture and forestry zoology. In 1910 he organized systematic bird ringing in Croatia. Fritz Rössler
Fritz Rössler (17 January 1912 – 11 October 1987) was a low-level official in the Nazi Party who went on to become a leading figure in German neo-Nazi politics. In his later life he was more commonly known as Dr. Franz Richter. Nazi activity Rössler was born in Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübel, Saxony. After attending university in Dresden (where he did not complete a degree), Rössler became a Nazi on 1 October 1930 (No. 319,948) and soon became a technical adviser to the Gau of Saxony where he specialized in plans for resettlement of the East. By the end of World War II, Rössler was heading up the main office of the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda before fleeing the Eastern Front to Saarland. Günter Rössler
Günter Rössler (6 January 1926 – 31 December 2012) was a German photographer who made a name for himself especially in the field of nude art photography. A pioneer of nude photography in East Germany and notable fashion photographer, Rössler was often referred to by the media as the ''Helmut Newton of East Germany'', stylized since Playboy published in 1984 a photo-gallery titled: ''Mädchen der DDR'' (Girls of the GDR). Rössler however, never liked this comparison with Newton, saying: "with Newton the pose dominates, with me it is about the highest possible authenticity of the girls". Jaroslav Rössler
Jaroslav Rössler (25 May 1902 – 5 January 1990) was a Czech photographer. He was a pioneer of Czech avant-garde photography and a member of the association of Czechs, Czech avant-garde artists Devětsil. Biography Rössler was born on 25 May 1902 in Štoky, Smilov. He was born to the Czechs, Czech-Germans, German father, Eduard Rössler, and a Czech mother, Adéla Nollová. From 1917 to 1920, Rössler studied in the Atelier (art), atelier of the company owned by renowned Czech photographer František Drtikol. Subsequently, he worked with the company as a laboratory technician. As a 21 years old, he began collaboration with the art theorist Karel Teige, who assigned him to create typographic layout for magazines ''Pásmo'', ''Disk'', ''Stavba'' and ''ReD'' (''Revue Devětsilu''). Otto Rössler
Otto Eberhard Rössler (born 20 May 1940) is a German biochemist known for his work on chaos theory and the theoretical equation known as the Rössler attractor. He is best known to the general public for his involvement in a failed lawsuit to halt the Large Hadron Collider due to fears that it would generate mini black holes. Biography Rössler was born in Berlin, into an academic family: his father, also named Otto Rössler, was an Austrian Nazi and a scholar of Semitic languages who was affiliated with the Ahnenerbe and later held a professorship at the University of Marburg. Rössler was awarded his MD in 1966. After postdoctoral studies at the Max Planck Institute for Behavioral Physiology in Bavaria, and a visiting appointment at the Center for Theoretical Biology at SUNY-Buffalo, in 1969 he became Professor for Theoretical Biochemistry at the University of Tübingen. In 1994, he became Professor of Chemistry by decree.
