History Beginnings (1979–1993) Although they had not taken part in the first five editions of the South Pacific Games, their geographical proximity to Fiji, host of 1979 South Pacific Games, allowed them to participate for the first time. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures.
