Henry Alexander MacRae (August 29, 1876 – October 2, 1944) was a Canadians, Canadian film director, film producer, producer, and screenwriter during the silent film, silent era, working on many film Serial (film), serials for Universal Pictures, Universal Studios. One of a number of Canadian pioneers in early Hollywood, MacRae was credited with many innovations in film production, including artificial light for interiors, the wind machine, double exposures and shooting at night. Biography Henry MacRae was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on August 29, 1876, and died in Beverly Hills, California, United States on October 2, 1944, aged 68. He was active as a director from 1912 to 1933, making more than 130 films, most of them silent. Bud Osborne
Leonard Miles "Bud" Osborne (July 20, 1884 – February 2, 1964) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 600 films and television programs between 1912 and 1963. Biography Osborne was born Miles Osborne in Knox County, Texas, on February 20, 1884. Osborne attended Oklahoma City schools and was a rancher in Oklahoma's Indian Territory before he became an entertainer. After working with the 101 Ranch Show for five years, he worked with Buffalo Bill's Wild West show for one year in 1912. He became a member of Thomas H. Ince's film company in 1915. Osborne specialized in westerns, and was also noted for his skill as a stagecoach driver, and was thus much in demand from his first film in 1912 right through the early 1950s. He was working as a stunt man as late as 1948 (at age 64) in Ray Enright's '' Return of the Bad Men.'' Gilbert "Pee Wee" Holmes was a Canadian actor and stunt performer known for his short stature. He appeared in more than 70 Hollywood films between 1920 and 1934, and often co-starred in Tom Mix comedy Westerns. Biography Gilbert was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, and raised in Miles City, Montana. Before he became an actor, he competed in rodeos around the United States. In the early 1920s, he began appearing in Hollywood westerns. During that decade, he and Ben Corbett produced and starred in a series of comedy shorts that ran before Universal's feature-length Westerns. He died on August 17, 1936, in Los Angeles, California. Frank Lackteen (born Mohammed Hassan Lackteen August 29, 1897 – July 8, 1968) was an American film actor best known for his antagonistic roles. He appeared in nearly 200 films between 1915 and 1965, including several Three Stooges shorts. Biography Lackteen made his first American film in 1915 and was often seen as a villain in silent films.
