Russian Women's Football Championship
The Russian Women's Football Championship (), also known as the Top Division and the Women's Football League, is the highest professional women's association football, football league in Russia. The Top Division was founded in 1992. Prior to the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Soviet women's football championship, women's league played two seasons in 1990 and 1991. Format For the 2010 season the seven teams play each other four times, two times away and two games at home. In previous years the team played each other only twice. As Russia is in the top 8 leagues of Europe by UEFA Coefficient the top two teams qualify for the UEFA Women's Champions League and the last team gets relegated to the Women’s 1.Division. The 2011–12 season was the first to last over the winter month. Eight teams contest the season and play each other four times for a total of 28 matches. Krasnoyarsk
Krasnoyarsk is the largest types of inhabited localities in Russia, city and administrative center of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. It is situated along the Yenisey, Yenisey River, and is the second-largest city in Siberia after Novosibirsk, with a population of over 1.1 million. FK Yenisey Krasnoyarsk (ФК Енисей Красноярск) is a Russian football club based in Krasnoyarsk, in Krasnoyarsk Krai. The club plays in the Russian First League. History The club was founded in 1937 as ''Lokomotiv Krasnoyarsk'' and spent one season in Class D of the Soviet league. In 1957 the club was re-formed and entered the ''Far East'' zone of Class B. In 1968 Lokomotiv was renamed ''Rassvet'' and, in 1970, ''Avtomobilist''. In 1991 it became ''Metallurg'', a title it held until February 2010 when it was renamed ''Metallurg-Yenisey'' (formally, Metallurg was excluded from the league and a new independent club Metallurg-Yenisey was admitted into the league). Zvezda Stadium (), until 1991 Lenin Komsomol Stadium (), is a multi-use stadium in Perm, Russia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Amkar Perm, Zvezda Perm and a women's club Zvezda-2005 Perm. The stadium holds 17,000 people and was opened on June 5, 1969. Sapsan Arena () is a football stadium situated in Moscow, Russia. It hosts Kazanka Moscow, Lokomotiv Moscow's farm club, and Lokomotiv Moscow's youth team. It seats 6,000 people. History The stadium was built in 2009 and its initial capacity stood at 5000, all seated. It is the home stadium of the youth squad of Lokomotiv. Ryazan-VDV () is a Russian women's football team from Ryazan. History Founded in 1996, it won two league titles and one cup in the last years of the twentieth century.
