Russia women's national beach soccer team (russian: Женская сборная России по пляжному футболу) represents Russia in international women's beach soccer competitions and is controlled by the Russian Football Federation, the governing body of football in Russia. The team was created in 2018. The team won the 2018 Women's Euro Beach Soccer Cup in their debut appearance after defeating the teams of Switzerland, Netherlands and Spain. Beach Soccer At The 2019 World Beach Games
The beach soccer tournaments at the 2019 World Beach Games, the inaugural edition of the Games, were held from 11 to 16 October 2019 in Doha, Qatar and organised by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). The matches were hosted on the Katara Beach at two venues which comprised the ''Beach Soccer Arena''. Two events took place: the men's tournament and the women's tournament. A total of 24 teams participated (16 in the men's competition and eight in the women's). The men's squads could consist of up to 12 players and the women's squads, 10 players, meaning a total of 272 athletes were expected to take part. Brazil claimed the men's title whilst Spain were the winners of the women's category. 2019 World Beach Games
The 2019 World Beach Games, ( ar, 2019 ألعاب شاطئ العالم) officially known as the ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019 and commonly known as Qatar 2019, was the inaugural edition of the international beach and water multi-sport event organized by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). It was held for five days from 11 to 16 October 2019, in Doha, Qatar, with 110 medals contested across 14 disciplines. It had originally been scheduled to be hosted in San Diego, United States in 2017. However, after first being postponed to 2019, the Games were then relocated as the city had not generated sufficient private funds needed to stage the event. In June 2019, Doha was announced as the last-minute replacement host city.
