Rupen Of Montfort
Rupen of Montfort (died 8 September 1313) was a Cyprus, Cypriot nobleman, the second surviving son of Humphrey of Montfort (died 1284), Humphrey of Montfort and Eschive d'Ibelin (1253-1312), Eschive d'Ibelin. In 1299, Rupen married Marie d'Ibelin (d. aft. 1340), daughter of Balian of Ibelin (1240-1302), Balian of Ibelin, Seneschal of Cyprus. They had two children: *Humphrey of Montfort (died 1326), Humphrey of Montfort, titular Lord of Beirut *Jeanne of Montfort, married in 1322 Balian of Ibelin, son of Guy of Ibelin (died 1304), Guy, Count of Jaffa. His elder brother Amalric died in 1304, and Rupen succeeded him as titular Lord of Toron. In 1308, Rupen was involved in the abortive rebellion against Amalric, Lord of Tyre, who had usurped the royal power in Kingdom of Cyprus, Cyprus. He then left Cyprus to support his mother Eschive in an unsuccessful attempt to claim the Duchy of Athens, and took refuge from Prince Amalric on Rhodes. Rupen Chilingiryan (Sevag) (Ռուբէն Յովհաննէսի Չիլինկիրեան (Սեւակ), February 28, 1886, Silivri, Ottoman Empire – August 26, 1915, Çankırı, Ottoman Empire) was an Armenian poet, prose-writer, and doctor.Gregoire Balakian: ''Le Golgotha arménien'', Le cercle d'écrits caucasiens, La Ferté-Sous-Jouarre 2002 (vol. 1) pp. 442 He was sent to a prison along with Siamanto and Daniel Varoujan during the Armenian Genocide. Rupen Zartarian
Rupen Zartarian or Ruben Zardaryan ( ; 1874 – 16 August 1915) was an Armenian writer, educator, and political activist. He was killed by Ottoman authorities during the Armenian genocide. Life Zartarian was born in 1874 in the city of Diyarbekir but moved to Harput (or Kharpert) (Armenian: Խարբերդ) when he was two. He received his education from the educational institutions of that city. Zartarian became a student of Tlgadintsi (Hovhannes Harutiunian, 1910–1912), who was a leading figure in rural Armenian literature. Tlgandintsi was also killed by Ottoman authorities during the Armenian Genocide. Zartarian was greatly influenced by his mentor, and his writing career stemmed from the encouragement he obtained. At the age of 18, he started teaching, and for the following decade, he continued in the field of education.
