"Runaway" is a song by American pop band OneRepublic, released a single through Mosley and Interscope Records on May 26, 2023. An acoustic version of the song was released on August 18, 2023. It is included as the fourth single from the band's sixth studio album '' Artificial Paradise''. Background and composition "Runaway" was written by band members Ryan Tedder and Brent Kutzle as well as Ben Samama, Johnny Simpson, Nolan Sipe, and Josh Varnadore. It was also produced by Kutzle, Samama, Loren Ferard, and John Nathaniel. The lyrics of the song describe letting go of fears and struggles to enjoy and lose yourself in new things and experiences. In the days prior of its release, the band posted teasers on social media to promote the song. There is a common misconception that the track features a sample from Daft Punk's Doin' It Right, but this is a musical effect called Interpolation, where One Republic recreated the sound without actually sampling the original. OneRepublic is an American pop rock band from Colorado Springs, Colorado, formed in 2002. The lineup currently consists of Ryan Tedder (lead vocals, piano), Zach Filkins (guitar, viola), Drew Brown (musician), Drew Brown (guitar), Brent Kutzle (bass, cello), Eddie Fisher (drummer), Eddie Fisher (drums), and Brian Willett (keyboards, percussion, violin). Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Joe Henderson
Joe Henderson (April 24, 1937 – June 30, 2001) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist and very occasional flute player. In a career spanning more than four decades, Henderson played with many of the leading American players of his day and recorded for several prominent labels, including Blue Note, Milestone, and Verve. Andrew Brown (born January 9, 1984) is an American musician, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. He is a guitarist in the bands OneRepublic and Debate Team. Biography and career Drew Brown originated from Salem, Massachusetts. He attended Broomfield High School in Broomfield, Colorado. He moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 2004, where he formed OneRepublic with vocalist Ryan Tedder and guitarist Zach Filkins. Zachary Douglas Filkins (born September 15, 1978) is an American musician, actor and songwriter. He is a guitarist for the pop rock band OneRepublic. Biography Early life A significant part of Filkins's childhood was spent intensely studying classical guitar in Barcelona, Spain. He attended Colorado Springs Christian High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he played for the school Association football, soccer team. It was at the high school that he met future bandmate Ryan Tedder during their twelfth grade, senior year. During a drive home, Filkins and Tedder were discussing their favorite musicians and decided to form a band.
