Run For Your Lives World Tour
The Run For Your Lives World Tour is an ongoing concert tour by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. It began on 27 May 2025 in Budapest, Hungary, and is currently set to conclude in 2026. This is the band's first concert tour in more than four decades not to feature drummer Nicko McBrain, following his retirement from touring in December 2024, and being replaced by British Lion member Simon Dawson as a touring drummer. Background On 19 September 2024, the band announced the Run For Your Lives World Tour, a celebration of the band's 50th anniversary since their formation in 1975. It was also confirmed that the set list for the tour would be focused on the band's first nine albums, which Bruce Dickinson had promised would be a "set list for the ages". "Wasted Years" is a song by the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. It is the band's fourteenth single released and the first from their sixth studio album, '' Somewhere in Time'' (1986). Released in 1986, it was the first single solely written by guitarist Adrian Smith, who also sings backing vocals. The song reached number 18 in the UK Singles Charts, as well as the top 10 in Finland and the Netherlands' Single Top 100. Synopsis The song deals with subject of homesickness and alienation, as well as the negative aspects of the band's nearly year long previous tour and personal problems that Smith and other band members were going through in that period. The cover depicts the band mascot Eddie's point of view as he flies a time machine. Only a part of Eddie's face is seen, as a reflection in a screen. Viking Stadion (currently named Lyse Arena for sponsorship reasons), is a football stadium in Stavanger, Norway. It was inaugurated in May 2004 and cost 160 million NOK (€20 million) to build. 50 million NOK, plus the lot it was built on, was a gift from the municipality.
