The Eurovision Song Contest (), often known simply as Eurovision, is an international Music competition, song competition organised annually by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) among its members since 1956. Each participating broadcaster submits an original song representing its country to be performed and broadcast live to all of them via the Eurovision (network), Eurovision and Euroradio networks, and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine a winner. The contest was inspired by and based on the Italian Sanremo Music Festival, held in the Italian Riviera since 1951. Martin Österdahl
Erik Martin Österdahl (; born 12 October 1973) is a Swedish television producer and author. From 2008 to 2014 he worked on broadcasts of '' Mästarnas mästare'', '' Allt för Sverige'' and '' Skavlan'' for SVT. His first book, ''Be inte om nåd'' ("Ask no mercy"), was published in 2016. He is currently the European Broadcasting Union's executive supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest and Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Early life Österdahl grew up between Stockholm and London. He attended Adolf Fredrik's Music School, joining the school's opera boy choir. His father, Marcus Österdahl ran the recording studio Marcus Music, and his mother worked in a music publishing company. "10 Years" is a song by Icelandic singer Daði Freyr and his band Gagnamagnið, released on 13 March 2021. The song represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Music video The music video for "10 Years" was released on Daði Freyr's YouTube channel on 29 March 2021, and was directed and produced by Guðný Rós Þórhallsdóttir. The music video begins with Daði watching " Think About Things" in his room when suddenly, the Mayor of Iceland, played by Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, calls Daði for help. He says that a new monster has emerged in Iceland is heading towards Reykjavík, and they have done all they can to stop it, to no avail. He goes on to say that the only hope to stop the monster now is Daði's "sweet, sweet dance moves" and to gather up the rest of the Gagnamagnið. Daði agrees to help, and sounds a siren. The Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA; ) was Israel's public broadcaster from 1948 to 2017, succeeded by the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation. Sandra Kim
Sandra Caldarone (born 15 October 1972), better known as Sandra Kim, is a Belgian singer of Italian descent who won the Eurovision Song Contest 1986 in Bergen, Norway. Her father was an Italian immigrant from Torrebruna in the Province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region of Italy. At the time of her Eurovision win, she was only 13 years old, making her the youngest winner of the contest, even though the lyrics of her song " J'aime la vie" ("I love life") imply that she is 15; the Swiss petitioned to have the song disqualified after her real age was revealed. This petition ended up failing and Kim went on to win that year's Eurovision Song Contest. DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1925 as a public-service organization, it is Denmark's oldest and largest electronic media enterprise. DR shares many of its organisational characteristics with its British counterpart, the BBC, on which it was largely modelled. DR is a founding member of the European Broadcasting Union. AVROTROS () is a Dutch radio and television broadcaster that is part of the Dutch public broadcasting system. It was founded in 2014 as the result of a merger between the Algemene Vereniging Radio Omroep (AVRO) and the TROS, Televisie Radio Omroep Stichting (TROS). The name AVROTROS has been used for jointly produced programmes since 1 January 2014. Since 7 September 2014, all existing AVRO and TROS programmes have also been broadcast under the name AVROTROS. Ríkisútvarpið (, ; abbr. RÚV ) is Iceland's national public broadcasting, public-service broadcasting organization.
