Rozyna Małgorzata von Eckenberg (1625–1648), was a Polish court official. She was the daughter of NN von Eckenberg and Margarethe von Toll. She came to Poland as a lady-in-waiting to the new queen of Poland, Cecilia Renata of Austria, and was appointed governess to Sigismund Casimir. Cecilia Renata Of Austria
Cecilia Renata of Austria (, , ; 16 July 1611 – 24 March 1644) was Queen of Poland and Grand Duchess of Lithuania as the wife of King-Grand Duke Władysław IV Vasa. Selection and coronation Cecilia Renata was a daughter of Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II, of the House of Habsburg, and Maria Anna of Bavaria. Born in 1611 in Graz, she was chosen as a bride by the Polish-Lithuanian nobility. She married Władysław on 9 August in Vienna by proxy, and then in Warsaw in person on 12 September 1637, and the same day was crowned at St. John's Cathedral. This was the first royal coronation outside of Kraków, the historic, former capital of Poland, and this greatly angered the Polish nobility. Sigismund Casimir Vasa (; 1 April 1640 – 9 August 1647), was a Polish prince and the only legitimate son of King Wladislaus IV and his first wife Queen Cecilia Renata. He was named after his grandfather Sigismund III, and uncle John Casimir. Biography He was raised by the governess Rozyna Małgorzata von Eckenberg. As he was an only child, he was the almost certain candidate as the successor of Ladislaus IV. The French traveller, Le Laboureur described him as a child: ''extremely vivid, lean and agile''. He was also seen as being quick-minded, he was a fast learner, and by the age of seven, he was fluent in not only Polish but German too, and made good progress in Latin.
