Rowing At The 2024 Summer Paralympics – PR1M1x
Rowing at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, France was held between 30 August to 1 September 2024. It featured men's (PR1M1x) and women's (PR1W1x) single sculls, two mixed double sculls (PR2Mix2x and PR3Mix2x) and one mixed coxed four (PR3Mix4+). Qualification An NPC can allocate one boat in each of these events with a maximum of five male and female qualification slots excluding coxswains. Vaires-sur-Marne (; ) is a Communes of France, commune in the Seine-et-Marne Departments of France, department in the Île-de-France Regions of France, region, Northern France. Vaires-sur-Marne is at the western end of the LGV Est high-speed railway, reaching Vendenheim (near Strasbourg) in the east. Vaires–Torcy station has rail connections to Meaux and Paris. Nikki Ayers
Nikki Louise Ayers (born 3 March 1991) is an Australian Paralympic rower. She was a member of the PR3 Mix 4+ at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Ayers and Jed Altschwager won a gold medal at the 2023 World Rowing Championships and the 2024 Paris Paralympics. Personal life Ayers grew up in Narooma, New South Wales and moved to Canberra to study for a nursing degree at University of Canberra. Ayers played rugby union and captained the ACT Women's Brumbies 7's team. In 2016, during a rugby union game, a tackle led to her dislocating her knee. The injury severed a major artery and nerve damage caused her to lose feeling in her foot. She underwent 16 operations to save her leg and repair her knee. In 2021, she worked as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at The Canberra Hospital and has a postgraduate Diploma in Critical Care. Ayers is openly lesbian. Saleh Shahin
Saleh Shahin (, ; born 28 October 1982) is an Israeli Paralympic medalist Rowing (sport), rower.alternate linkalternate link 2
He is Druze, from the Arab city of Shfaram, Israel. He enlisted in the Israeli Defense Forces, and served as a commander in the 35th Paratroopers Brigade (Israel), paratroopers. He was wounded in 2005 in a terrorist attack. Shahin represented Israel at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, Israel at the 2024 Paris Paralympics in the Rowing at the 2024 Summer Paralympics – PR2Mix2x, PR2 mixed double sculls, and won the bronze medal with Shahar Milfelder.

Shahar Milfelder
Shahar Milfelder (Hebrew: שחר מילפלדר; born 17 September 1997) is an Israeli Paralympic medalist rower. She competed for Israel at the 2024 Paris Paralympics in the PR2 mixed double sculls and won the bronze medal with her rowing partner Druze-Israeli Saleh Shahin. Early life Milfelder grew up in Moshav Beit Yitzchak in Israel. At the age of 15, she was diagnosed with a rare and violent bone cancer, and at the time was the only patient in Israel who suffered from it. She went to a hospital in New Jersey in the United States for radiation therapy, but the tumor returned after her treatments. She then underwent a 16-hour operation in a Manhattan hospital, in which half of her pelvis was removed. Initially, she had a special brace so she could walk with a walker, but in time she switched to crutches, and she now can move around with one crutch. Liu Shuang (born 28 October 1993) is a Chinese pararower. Lauren Rachel Catherine Rowles (born 24 April 1998) is a British parasport rower and former wheelchair athlete. She won gold with Laurence Whiteley in the trunk-arms mixed double sculls (TAMix2x) at the 2016 Summer Paralympics.The pair repeated their achievement in Tokyo at the 2021 Summer Paralympics. Birgit Skarstein
Birgit Lovise Røkkum Skarstein (born 10 February 1989) is a Norwegian former Paralympic athlete and social entrepreneur who competed in para rowing and para cross-country skiing. She is a Paralympic champion and silver medallist, six-time world champion and four-time European champion in single sculls. Skarstein has won a total of twelve World Championships medals, eight in rowing and four in cross-country skiing, and holds the world best time in women's single sculls. Moran Samuel (; April 24, 1982) is an Israeli paralympic basketball player and world champion rower. She was chosen to light a ceremonial torch on Israel's Independence Day in 2019. She represented Israel at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. She won a gold medal competing for Israel at the 2024 Paris Paralympics in the Women's single sculls.
