The Women's coxless pair competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London took place at Dorney Lake which, for the purposes of the Games venue, is officially termed Eton Dorney. Eton Dorney
Dorney Lake (also known as Eton College Rowing Centre, and as Eton Dorney as a 2012 Summer Olympics venue) is a purpose-built Rowing (sport), rowing lake and Meetings & Events Venue in England. It is near the village of Dorney, Buckinghamshire, and is around 3 km (2 miles) west of Windsor, Berkshire, Windsor and Eton, Berkshire, Eton, close to the River Thames. The lake is privately owned and financed by Eton College, which spent £17 million developing it. Additional grants, totalling £500,000, were obtained from Sport England, UK Sport, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, DCMS and South East England Development Agency, SEEDA in order to build the lake's finish tower. The project was completed in 2006, after 10 years of construction. Sarah Zelenka
Sarah McIlduff (née Zelenka; born June 8, 1987) is an American rower. She was a member of the 2012 US Summer Olympic team, having competed in the women's pair race. Biography Zelenka was born in Park Ridge, Illinois on June 8, 1987. She was a basketball player at Lake Park High School. She started rowing during her freshman year of college at Grand Valley State University. In 2008, Zelenka helped lead Grand Valley's women's eight to the American Collegiate Rowing Association national title. In the 2009 World Rowing Under-23 Championships, she finished sixth in the women's four. In the 2010 World Rowing Cup, Zelenka won golds in the women's four and eight. At the 2011 World Rowing Championships, she won gold in the women's four. Sara Bertolasi
Sara Bertolasi (29 April 1988, Busto Arsizo) is an Italian rower. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's coxless pair with Claudia Wurzel. At the 2016 Olympic Games, she competed in the same event with Alessandra Patelli. Lee-Ann Persse (born 20 November 1988, in Nelspruit) is a South African rower, born in Cape Town and currently resides in Pretoria. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's coxless pair. Persse and her teammate Naydene Smith were 2nd in the B Final, with the 8th fastest time overall of 7:55.18.
