Sister Maria Rosalina Madroñal Abejo, Religious of the Virgin Mary, RVM (July 13, 1922 – June 5, 1991) was a Filipino composer, pianist and Conducting, conductor. Life and career Rosalina Abejo was born in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, Tagoloan in Misamis Oriental in the Philippines, and died in Fremont, California, Fremont, California. She is the first Filipina composer and Conducting, conductor, and a nun of the Religious of the Virgin Mary, Congregation of the Religious of the Virgin Mary. Her aunt, the late Sister Maria Rosario Madroñal, RVM was her first music teacher. Rosalina Tran Lydster (born September 16, 1962) is a Vietnamese American jewelry designer. She was co-designer of the crown for the Miss Universe 2008 competition. Early life and education Rosalina Lydster was born in Vietnam to Hai Vo, a jeweler for Vietnam’s first lady and other Saigon socialites. Her father Charles TRAN was a trained architect. The family owned a jewelry business that catered to high-end clients. They later moved to The United States in the 1970s and continued the jewelry business in San Francisco. Lydster studied business at San Francisco State University and continued her studies at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. Career After graduation, Lydster began her career as an investment banker. Rosalina Tuyuc Velásquez (born San Juan Comalapa, department of Chimaltenango, 1956) is a Guatemalan human rights activist. She was elected as a Congressional deputy in 1995, elected from the national list of the New Guatemala Democratic Front, and served as Vice President of Congress during that period. Tuyuc is Kaqchikel Maya. Biography In June 1982, the Guatemalan Army kidnapped and murdered her father, Francisco Tuyuc. Three years later, on 24 May 1985, her husband suffered the same fate. In 1988, she founded the National Association of Guatemalan Widows (CONAVIGUA), which has become a leading Guatemalan human rights organization.
