Ronja (given Name)
Ronja is a feminine given name in use largely in Scandinavian countries. It became widely known when the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren wrote her 1981 children's book '' Ronja Rövardotter''. In the English translation of the book the name was translated as Ronia. It may also be translated as Ronya. It is also the Swedish rendering of the Russian diminutive Роня for Veronica. Very few people were given this name in Scandinavian countries prior to 1981. In Finland, Ronja has been used as a first name as early as the 1920s. It was the third most popular name given to baby girls born in the Faroe Islands in 2008 and is also rising in popularity in other Scandinavian countries. Ronja Richardsdotter Stanley (formerly Gullichsen; born 9 November 1991), known by their stage names Ronya and New Ro, is a Finnish-British singer-songwriter. Life and career Ronya was born in Siuntio, Finland. They came to the fore in 2011 with their single "Annoying", which was played at YleX radio station. Ronya signed a contract with Warner Music Finland in 2008 when they were 16 years old. Their debut album ' was released on 13 June 2012. Ronya released their second album ''Tides'' on 19 October 2015. Ronya's father is British-born music producer . They graduated from in 2011. Ronya is a Swedish-speaking Finn. Ronja, The Robber's Daughter (2014 TV Series)
is a Japanese anime based on the Swedish children's book of the same name. It is about Ronja, the only child of a bandit chief, who grows up among a clan of robbers living in a castle in the woodlands of early-Medieval Scandinavia. When Ronja grows old enough she ventures into the forest, exploring and discovering its wonders and dangers like the mystical creatures that dwell there. She learns to live in the forest through her own strength, with the occasional rescue by her parents. Ronja's life begins to change, however, when she happens upon a boy her own age named Birk, who turns out to be the son of the rival clan chief. The Yeshiva
''The Yeshiva'' is an English translation by Curt Leviant of the Yiddish novel ''Tsemakh Atlas'' (צמח אטלס) by Chaim Grade. It was published in two volumes in Yiddish and also in translation. It was also published in a Hebrew translation, with the same title as the Yiddish. The first volume was published as if it were standalone, with no volume number and no mention of a continuation. The second volume was subtitled "Volume II: Masters and Disciples." The second volume, and later books by Grade (for example, ''Rabbis and Wives'') explicitly refer to the first volume as "Volume I" in their "by the same author" lists.
