Rolf Østbye
Rolf Østbye (17 April 1898 – 20 November 1979) was a Norwegian businessperson. He was born in Kristiania as a son of rector Niels Johan Hagerup Østbye (1866–1952) and Johanne Elisabeth Mellbye (1873–1962). From 1923 to 1931 he was married to Reidun Berg (1899–1976), and from 1933 he was married to Ellen Martinsen (1904–1997), a granddaughter of Gustav Martinsen. He worked in Ringnes Bryggeri, Lillehammer Bryggeri and Bjølsen Valsemølle at a young age, but took education as a chemical engineer. He was hired in Standard Telefon og Kabelfabrik in 1947, and became chief executive officer in 1949. In 1953 he was hired in Norsk Hydro, becoming Director-General (CEO) in 1956. He stayed in this position until 1966; after this he was chairman of the board from 1967 to 1970. From 1966 to 1973 he chaired the Norwegian Trade Council, which is now a part of Innovation Norway. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. Forsikringsselskapet Norden was a general insurance company based in Norway. It was founded as ''Brandforsikringsselskabet Norden'' on 4 April 1867, and began operating on 2 September the same year. Its first offices were located in ''Karl Johans gate 14''. The main driving forces behind the foundation were Carl Ferdinand Gjerdrum and Jacob Thurmann Ihlen, who became the first chief executive and first chair respectively. Gjerdrum served until 1887 and Ihlen to 1904. The next chief executive was L. S. Karlsen from 1887 to 1933; he was succeeded by Harald Sommerfeldt. From 1958 to 1971 Erik Ø. Poulsson was at the helm. Erik Anker
Erik Anker (15 October 1903 – 15 August 1994) was a Norwegian sailor and businessperson. Early life and Olympics He was born in Berg, Østfold as a son of Johan Anker. He was a brother of Christian August Anker, and a stepson of Nini Roll Anker. He was married to Swedish citizen Eva Esther Laurell. In sailing he represented the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club. At the 1928 Summer Olympics he won the gold medal as crew member of the Norwegian boat ''Norna'' in the 6 metre class event. The crew was Johan Anker, Erik Anker, Crown Prince Olav of Norway and Håkon Bryhn. Anker later chaired the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club from 1949 to 1951, and became an honorary member in 1977. Johan Berthin Holte
Johan Berthin Holte (19 February 1915 – 1 April 2002) was a Norwegian businessperson. He was born in Notodden as a son of chief administrative officer Peder Olaus Holte (1875–1943) and Lorentze Indorff (1890–19). In 1944 he married artist Eva Vibeke Bull (1922–1991). He graduated with a degree in chemistry from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1938. He was hired by Norsk Hydro in 1948 as head of their Notodden department. Bjarne Gotfred Eriksen (31 July 1886 – 13 November 1976) was a Norwegian businessperson and fencer. He was born in Trondheim.
