Rock Entertainment Sports Network
The Rock Entertainment Sports Network (RESN) is a broadcast television network in Ohio, United States. Based in Cleveland, it is owned by Gray Media and co-managed by Rock Entertainment Group, headed by Dan Gilbert, and its programming consists primarily of local sporting events. RESN operates alongside CBS affiliate WOIO (channel 19), CW affiliate WUAB (channel 43) and Telemundo affiliate WTCL-LD (channel 6). It is broadcast by Canton, Ohio–licensed low-power station WOHZ-CD (channel 22) from a transmitter located northeast of Canton; in Cleveland on a subchannel of WTCL-LD, with transmitter located in Parma; in Akron on W28FG-D, a translator for both WOHZ and WTCL; in Columbus on low-power station WDEM-CD (channel 17); and in Cincinnati as a subchannel of Gray-owned WXIX-TV. WXIX-TV (channel 19) is a television station licensed to Newport, Kentucky, United States, serving the Cincinnati metro as the market's Fox affiliate. It is owned by Gray Media alongside low-power Telemundo affiliate WBQC-LD (channel 25) and 24/7 weather channel WZCD-LD (channel 30). The three stations share studios at 19 Broadcast Plaza on Seventh Street in the Queensgate neighborhood just west of downtown Cincinnati; WXIX-TV's transmitter is located in the South Fairmount neighborhood on the city's northwest side. Ontario is a city in Richland County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 6,656. It is part of the Mansfield metropolitan area. It was founded in 1834 on the western edge of the Allegheny Plateau, just west of the city of Mansfield. After being incorporated in 1958, Ontario became a heavy manufacturing center because of the Erie Railroad line, and its proximity to Mansfield. Bucyrus ( ) is a city in Crawford County, Ohio, United States, and its county seat. Ashland is a city in Ashland County, Ohio, United States, and its county seat. It is approximately 66 miles southwest of Cleveland. The population was 19,225 at the 2020 census. It is the center of the Ashland Micropolitan statistical area, which includes all of Ashland County. History Ashland was laid out by William Montgomery in 1815. The Lake Erie Crushers (often referred as the Grapes) are a professional baseball team based in Avon, Ohio. The Cleveland Charge are an American professional basketball team in the NBA G League based in Cleveland, and are affiliated with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
