Robotech (comics)
''Robotech'' comics first officially appeared in print in 1985, though Comico published the first issue of its license from Harmony Gold USA under the '' Macross'' name. When Harmony Gold was releasing the first few episodes of its original ''Macross'' dub in 1984, it was discovered that Revell already had a '' Robotech Defenders'' line of scale model kits that included the transformable ''Macross'' mecha. The potential for brand confusion caused concern that Harmony Gold would have problems selling its own transformable ''Macross'' toys. Harmony Gold and Revell were able to come to a co-licensing agreement — when producer Carl Macek had the idea to combine '' Macross'' with '' Southern Cross'' and '' Mospeada'' to create an 85-episode television series, he chose to use Revell's pre-existing ''Robotech'' name and logo to strengthen the title's brand recognition. Super Dimension Fortress Macross
is a Japanese science fiction anime television series. It is the first part of the ''Super Dimension'' trilogy and the ''Macross'' franchise. The series aired in Japan from October 1982 to June 1983. According to story creator Shoji Kawamori, it depicts "a love triangle against the backdrop of great battles" during the first human-alien war. Waltrip Brothers
Jason Waltrip and John Waltrip (born 1963) are identical twins who comprise a comic book art and writing team, known for their work on '' Robotech comics'' and in webcomics. Comics career The Waltrips were discovered by a talent scout in 1987 who was sent a copy of their amateur comic called ''CyberKnights''. They first became publicly known for their work on '' Robotech II: The Sentinels'', for Eternity Comics in 1988, despite earlier efforts for Steve Jackson Games on the '' Car Wars'' game line. The Sentinels
The Sentinels are two 90 metre tall residential tower blocks on Holloway Head in Birmingham, England. The two towers, called Clydesdale Tower and Cleveland Tower, are both 31 storeys tall and were part of a major regeneration and council home building scheme following World War II which in the 1960s and 1970s saw the construction of hundreds of tower blocks. Originally built and operated by the City of Birmingham, the buildings were part of a stock transfer from Birmingham local authority to Optima Community Association in 1999, and today the buildings are owned by Citizen housing association (itself an amalgamation of several West Midlands housing associations). Anaglyph 3D
Anaglyph 3D is the Stereoscopy, stereoscopic 3D effect achieved by means of encoding each eye's image using filters of different (usually Complementary colors, chromatically opposite) colors, typically red and cyan. Anaglyph 3D images contain two differently filtered colored images, one for each eye. When viewed through the "color-coded" "anaglyph glasses", each of the two images is visible to the eye it is intended for, revealing an integrated stereoscopic image. The visual cortex of the brain fuses this into the perception of a three-dimensional scene or composition. Wildstorm Productions (stylized as WildStorm) is an American comic book imprint. Originally founded as an independent company established by Jim Lee and Brandon Choi to publish through Image Comics, Wildstorm became a publishing imprint of DC Comics in 1998. Until it was shut down in 2010, the Wildstorm imprint remained editorially separate from DC Comics, with its main studio located in California. Brian Charles Daley (December 22, 1947 – February 11, 1996) was an American science fiction novelist. He also adapted for radio the ''Star Wars'' radio dramas and wrote all of its episodes. A spoiler is an element of a disseminated summary or description of a media narrative that reveals significant plot elements, with the implication that the experience of discovering the plot naturally, as the creator intended it, has been robbed ("spoiled") of its full effect.
