Robin Wagner (figure Skater)
Robin Wagner (born December 15, 1957) is an American figure skating coach. She was a competitive skater in the late-1970s and competed at the United States Figure Skating Championships at the Novice and Junior levels. She trained with Sonia Dunfield, Peter Dunfield Peter Dunfield (c. 1931 – May 25, 2014) was a Canadian figure skater and coach. After retiring from competitive skating, Wagner graduated from Barnard College (1980) with a degree in Psychology. Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. Sarah Hughes
Sarah Elizabeth Hughes (born May 2, 1985) is a former American competitive figure skater. She is the 2002 Olympic Champion and the 2001 World bronze medalist in ladies' singles. Personal life Hughes was born in Great Neck, New York, a suburb on Long Island. Her father, John Hughes, was a Canadian of Irish descent and was one of the captains of the undefeated and untied NCAA champion 1969–70 Cornell University ice hockey team. Her mother, Amy Pastarnack, is Jewish and is a breast cancer survivor. This led Hughes to become an advocate for breast cancer awareness. She appeared in a commercial for General Electric promoting breast cancer awareness and research. Rohene Ward
Rohene Andre Ward (born June 28, 1983) is a retired American figure skater and choreographer. He competed four times at the U.S. Championships, in 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008. He also competed for Puerto Rico and is the 2004 Puerto Rican national champion. Career Ward is known for his flexibility, athleticism, and charisma, as well as jumping and spinning in both directions. His moves include the cantilever, the hydroblade, and the splits. Ward was coached by Page Lipe in Minneapolis for 18 years. He attended North Community High School where he graduated in 2001. In 2005, he began training under coach Robin Wagner. In 2007, Ward and Lipe co-coached Kirsten Olson. In 2007, he began co-coaching with Kori Ade in Highland Park, Illinois. Elene Gedevanishvili
Elene Gedevanishvili (, born 7 January 1990) is a Georgian former competitive figure skater. She is a two-time (2012, 2010) European bronze medalist. In winning the medal in 2010, Gedevanishvili became the first skater from Georgia to medal at an ISU Championships. She has competed at three Winter Olympics: Turin 2006, Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014. Personal life Elene Gedevanishvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgian SSR. United States Figure Skating Championships
The U.S. Figure Skating Championships is a figure skating competition held annually to crown the national champions of the United States. The competition is sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating. In the U.S. skating community, the event is often referred to informally as "Nationals". Medals are currently awarded in four disciplines: men's (boys') singles, ladies' (girls') singles, pair skating, and ice dancing in four colors: gold (first), silver (second), bronze (third), and pewter (fourth) on two levels, senior and junior. Medals were previously given at the novice, intermediate, and juvenile levels. Silvia Fontana
Silvia Fontana (born December 3, 1976) is a former figure skater who represented Italy twice at the Winter Olympics. Career Fontana began skating at age four. She began representing Italy in international competition in the 1993-94 season. During her career, she won five national titles and finished as high as 7th at the European Championships and 8th at Worlds. She finished 10th at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Following the 2002, Fontana left competitive skating. She made a comeback in the 2005-06 season, hoping to skate at the Olympics in her home country of Italy. Her 2nd-place finish at the Italian Nationals qualified her for Italy's Olympic team. She placed 22nd in her final competitive event. Following the Olympics, Fontana performed in ice shows around the world, as well as a skating competition on Italian TV.
