John O'Quinn Field at Corbin J. Robertson Stadium (often referred to as simply Robertson Stadium) was a multi-purpose stadium in Houston, located on the campus of the University of Houston. It was the home of the Houston Cougars football and women's football (soccer), soccer teams. The stadium was the first home for the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer from 2006 to 2011, as well as the first home of the American Football League (1960-69), American Football League's Houston Oilers from 1960 to 1964. Alexander Robertson & Sons was a boatyard in Sandbank, Argyll, Sandbank, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, from 1876 to 1980. The yard was located on the shore of the Holy Loch, not far from the Royal Clyde Yacht Club (RCYC) at Hunters Quay, in the building that is now the Royal Marine Hotel, which was the epicentre of early Clyde yachting. Alexander Robertson started repairing boats in a small workshop at Sandbank in 1876, and went on to become one of the foremost wooden boatbuilders on Scotland's River Clyde. The "golden years" of Robertson's yard were in the early 1900s, when it started building some of the first International Rule (sailing), IYRU 12mR & 15mR (Metre Class) racing yachts. The Robertson Islands or Robertsons Islands are a group of islands extending 6 km southward of the south-eastern extremity of Coronation Island in the South Orkney Islands of Antarctica. They were discovered and roughly charted by Captains George Powell and Nathaniel Palmer in December 1821 and named by James Weddell in 1823. Important Bird Area The northern islands of the group (those north of Atriceps Island), including Matthews, Coffer, Steepholm and Skilling Islands with their associated islets and skerries, have been identified as an Important Bird Area (IBA) by BirdLife International because they support substantial breeding colonies, totalling about 35,000 pairs, of chinstrap penguins. Robertson Island
Robertson Island is an ice-covered island, long in a northwest-southeast direction and wide, lying at the east end of the Seal Nunataks off the east coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. Captain Carl Anton Larsen discovered Robertson Island from the ''Jason'' on 9 December 1893. Curious to find out if the volcano was active he skied to the top from the north side of the island, later naming it Mt. Christensen after his longtime partner and majority owner of the ''Jason'', Christen Christensen. Larsen named Robertson Island for William Robertson, co-owner of the Hamburg-based company ''Woltereck & Robertson''. Robertson is a town in the Western Cape Province of South Africa, known as the valley of wine and roses, at the heart of the wine route - Route 62. Founded in 1853 and named after Dr , a Scottish Dutch Reformed Church minister. Situated in the fertile Robertson Valley, farming and wagon building were the town's original industries. However, after the Second Anglo-Boer War of 1899, the wagon building industry collapsed when the railways took over the transport of all goods. Robertson subsequently became famous for its ostrich farming, but this industry collapsed as well shortly after World War I, and the farmers of the area turned to wine and fruit farming. Later, several successful racehorse stud farms were founded. Agriculture remains the mainstay of the town's economy. Robertson (crater)
Robertson is an important lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon, just beyond the western limb. It lies just to the south of Berkner, a formation with a comparable size but more eroded features. Just to the east is Helberg, and to the southwest is Alter. The inner wall of the crater rim has a wide, complex formation of multiple terraces. The rim is approximately circular, but with an irregular outline where various terraces have slumped away. The interior has a central peak at the midpoint, and this is joined to a rugged stretch of ground that connects with the northeastern rim. A band of light-hued ray material from Ohm covers the southern half of the crater floor and rim. Cape Robertson (), also known as Tuloriok, is a headland in Northwest Greenland, Avannaata municipality. Geography Cape Robertson is located in the northern shore of Murchison Sound, Baffin Bay. it rises at the end of a promontory, south of the fjord where the Morris Jesup Glacier has its terminus, east of the mouth of Robertson Fjord and west of MacCormick Fjord. The cape has an elevation of 4 meters (13 feet). Cape Robertson was named after Dr. John Robertson, a surgeon on '' HMS Terror'', one of the two lost ships seeking the Northwest Passage on the British expedition of 1845.
