Robertson is a census-designated place (CDP) in Uinta County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 97 at the 2010 census. Geography Robertson is located at (41.190095, -110.429333). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.1 square miles (8.1 km2), all land. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 59 people, 23 households, and 18 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 19.0 people per square mile (7.3/km2). There were 36 housing units at an average density of 11.6/sq mi (4.5/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.61% White, and 3.39% from two or more races. Robertson Scholars Program
The Robertson Scholars Leadership Program is a joint merit scholarship and leadership development program at Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The scholarship offers participants a unique "dual citizenship" at both Duke University and UNC-Chapel Hill. Approximately 25-30 students are selected from the pool of applicants to both universities. History and background The program was created in 2000 by benefactor Julian Robertson, a 1955 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. Mr. Robertson sought to encourage collaboration between Duke and the University of North Carolina and to promote the development of young leaders. Robertson Island
Robertson Island is an ice-covered island, long in a northwest-southeast direction and wide, lying at the east end of the Seal Nunataks off the east coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. Captain Carl Anton Larsen discovered Robertson Island from the ''Jason'' on 9 December 1893. Curious to find out if the volcano was active he skied to the top from the north side of the island, later naming it Mt. Christensen after his longtime partner and majority owner of the ''Jason'', Christen Christensen.
