Robert Kelley (academic Administrator)
Robert O. Kelley (born 1944) was the List of Presidents of the University of North Dakota, 11th president of the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. His term began on July 1, 2008. Kelley was previously dean of the College of Health Sciences and professor of medical education and public health at the University of Wyoming. Kelley earned a B.S. in biology and chemistry from Abilene Christian University in 1965, and earned a M.S. in Cell biology, cell and developmental biology in 1966 from the University of California, Berkeley, where he would go on to earn his doctorate from in 1969. As president, Kelley presided over the North Dakota Fighting Sioux controversy, renaming of the Fighting Sioux as the Fighting Hawks. Charles Kupchella
Charles E. Kupchella (born July 7, 1942) is an American academic administrator who served as the 10th president of the University of North Dakota (UND) in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He began his presidency in 1999 and retired in 2008. He was succeeded by Robert Kelley (academic administrator), Robert Kelley effective July 1, 2008. Early life and education Kupchella is a native of Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania. In 1964, he graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S.Ed. and a Pennsylvania biology teaching certification. He then studied at St. Bonaventure University, where, in 1968, he was awarded a Ph.D. in physiology. Edward Thomas Schafer (born August 8, 1946) is an American businessman and politician who served as the 30th governor of North Dakota from 1992 to 2000 and as the 29th United States secretary of agriculture from 2008 to 2009 under President George W.
