Rizz (EP)
''Rizz'' is the second extended play by South Korean singer Soojin. It was released by BRD Communications on May 23, 2024, and contains six tracks, including the lead single, "Mona Lisa". Background On April 18, 2024, it was revealed that Soojin would be releasing her new album in May. On April 29, it was announced that the singer's second mini-album, titled ''Rizz'', would be released on May 23, 2024. On May 2, the track listing was unveiled with "Mona Lisa" announced as the lead single. A highlight medley featuring snippets of the songs was released on May 20. Teasers for the music video for "Mona Lisa" were released on May 21 and 22. Aesthetics and influences The album's visuals are inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's popular portrait painting ''Mona Lisa''. Seo Soo-jin (; born March 9, 1998), better known mononymously as Soojin, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and rapper. She is a former member of the South Korean girl group I-dle under Cube Entertainment. After she left the group in 2021, she made her debut as soloist with the EP ''Agassy'', released on November 8, 2023, under BRD Communications. Early life Soojin was born in Gyeonggi Province, Gyeonggi, South Korea. She attended Waw Middle School in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, Hwaseong. She later learned jazz dance and taekwondo while studying at the Korean Arts High School. She decided early in her life that she wanted to pursue a singing career, but said it took two years for her to convince her father to agree with her decisions. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures.
