Ritz-Carlton Golf Club
The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a golf course in the Southwestern United States, southwestern United States, located in Marana, Arizona, northwest of Tucson, Arizona, Tucson. For six years it hosted the WGC Match Play, WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, a match play tournament on the PGA Tour and the European Tour in late February. The club was known as Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, carrying co-branding from Ritz-Carlton, which operates the hotel facilities at the club, from its opening until 2012; however the co-branding was removed before the 2013 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, 2013 event for unknown reasons. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the course holds the distinction for being the longest venue in PGA Tour history at ; the average elevation is approximately above sea level. The 2016 WGC-Dell Match Play was the 18th WGC-Dell Match Play Championship, played March 23–27 at Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas. It was the second of four World Golf Championships in 2016. The Championship was won by Jason Day, it was his second WGC-Match Play win in three years. Field The field consisted of the top 64 players available from the Official World Golf Ranking on March 13. However, the seedings are based on the World Ranking on March 20. Austin Country Club
Austin Country Club is a private golf club in the southern United States, located in Austin, Texas. Established in 1899, the club moved to its third and present site in 1984, a challenging layout designed by noted course architect Pete Dye. The present Davenport Ranch site is west of central Austin on the south bank of the Colorado River (Lake Austin), just southeast of the Pennybacker Bridge. The 2015 WGC-Cadillac Match Play was the 17th WGC-Cadillac Match Play Championship, played April 29 – May 3 at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California. It was the second of four World Golf Championships in 2015. Official World Golf Ranking
The Official World Golf Ranking is a system for rating the performance level of professional golfers. It was started in 1986. The rankings are based on a player's position in individual tournaments (i.e. not pairs or team events) over a "rolling" two-year period. New rankings are calculated each week. During 2018, nearly 400 tournaments on 20 tours were covered by the ranking system. All players competing in these tournaments are included in the rankings. In 2025, 24 tours factored into the world rankings. As well as being of general interest, the rankings have an additional importance, in that they are used as one of the qualifying criteria for entry into a number of leading tournaments. Adam Derek Scott (born 16 July 1980) is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He is a former world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking. He has won one major championship, the 2013 Masters Tournament.
