David Riolo (born 20 April 1972) is a former Italy international rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s for Illawarra and Parramatta. Background Riolo was born in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. Overview Riolo played fullback over the course of his nine-year career in the Australian Rugby League competition. He also represented Italy in 1999 Mediterranean Cup and in the Rugby League Emerging Nations Tournament in 2000. Vincent Riolo (born 1947) is a Maltese philosopher mostly interested and specialised in logic and the philosophy of language. Life Riolo was born at Mosta, Malta, in 1947. He studied philosophy at the University of Malta and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Bavaria, Germany, where he was a student of Paul Lorenzen (March 24, 1915 – October 1, 1994), founder of the ''Erlangen School''. Riolo teaches logic at various faculties of the University of Malta. At the Department of Philosophy he also teaches philosophy of science. Works The late Rev. Vincenzo Riolo
Vincenzo Riolo (February 14, 1772 in Palermo, Sicily – July 5, 1837) was an Italian painter of the Neoclassical style, active mainly in his native Sicily. Biography He trained in Palermo initially with Antonio Manno and Francesco Sozzi, but at the age of twenty moved to Rome to work under Giovanni Battista Wicar. Among his contemporaries in Palermo was Giuseppe Patania. He married Anna, the daughter of the painter Giuseppe Velasquez in Palermo. In 1828, he replaced his father in law as professor at the ''Regia Accademia del Nudo'' in Palermo. Riolo died during the Cholera epidemic of 1837, and was replaced as professor by another pupil of Velasco, Salvatore Lo Forte. He painted a portrait of his friend, Vincenzo Monti. Riolos
Riolos ( el, Ρίολος), is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Larissos, Achaea, Greece. It is located on the northwestern edge of the Movri hills, 4 km north of Mataragka, 3 km southwest of Krinos, 6 km southeast of Lappas and 32 km southwest of Patras. In 2001 Riolos had a population of 801 for the village and 810 for the community, which includes the small village Mazaiika. The river Larissos flows southwest of the village. During the Greek War of Independence a battle took place in Riolos in which the Greeks, led by Thallis Theodoridis the Elder, were victorious. The Rioli family are a notable Australian rules football family from the Tiwi Islands in the Northern Territory.
