Andre "Drey" Ricks (born September 12, 1986) is a former NCAA Division I basketball player for Western Michigan Broncos men's basketball, Western Michigan University, and the founder of Rawimpact Clothing Brand & Rawimpact Basketball Training Academy. Early life Drey Ricks was born in Detroit, Michigan. Martha Ann Erskine Ricks
Martha Ann Harris Ricks (born Erskine, c. 1817–1901), also called Aunt Martha in her community, was an Americo-Liberian woman among the early colonists to the Colony of Liberia. Born into slavery in Tennessee, she was freed by her father, George Erskine and emigrated at age 13 with him and her family to Liberia in 1830. While chiefly working in agriculture there, Ricks also was known for her needlework and became an expert quilter. She became interested in Queen Victoria and worked for more than two decades on a quilt to deliver to her. In 1892 Ricks traveled with former First Lady Jane Roberts to England, where she received a royal audience with Queen Victoria and personally presented her the quilt. Life Martha Ann was born into slavery in Tennessee. Her father, George Erskine saved money and purchased her, her mother, and siblings, to free them all. ''Flipper'' is an American television program broadcast on NBC from September 19, 1964, until April 15, 1967. Ricks Spring
Ricks Spring is a karst spring, a natural water outflow from a cave in Logan Canyon within the Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northeast Utah. The spring is not an artesian source, but comes from the Logan River. Ricks Spring is the best known of several springs in an underground water network of the area. History Thomas E. Ricks settled in the nearby Cache Valley in 1859. Logan Canyon was an area rich with timber and other resources for nearby settlements, his explorations of which being some of the first documentations of the area. At the recommendation of Brigham Young, Ricks and others in the community began constructing a road to Bear Lake Valley. The road to Ricks Spring was the first section to be completed before winter, and within a decade, the area became a popular excursion point for camping and automobiling. Robert Ricks Jr. (born ) is a retired American meteorologist who worked as a lead forecaster at the National Weather Service (NWS) in Slidell, Louisiana. He is known for the strongly worded bulletin he wrote prior to the arrival of Hurricane Katrina, which vividly warned of the damage that the storm would cause. A later review by the NWS called attention to the "unprecedented detail and foreboding nature" of the forecast, and credited it with helping assist officials as they evacuated residents in the storm's path. Career Ricks began his career in air traffic control, before brief service the private sector.
