It was produced by Boi-1da, Jahaan Sweet, Sonorous and DrtWrk. Background The song premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1, in which Lucas stated he was in a bad mood when he wrote it. Composition The production uses a "haunting" piano loop. Lyrically, the song centers on Joyner Lucas' diminishing returns of his own success and his toxic and destructive behavior. Lucas raps with aggression while in a reflective state. Gary Maurice "Joyner" Lucas Jr. (born August 17, 1988) is an American rapper, actor and entrepreneur. Lucas first received exposure after the release of his single "Ross Capicchioni" in 2015. ''ADHD'' is the debut studio album by American rapper Joyner Lucas. It was released on March 27, 2020, by his self-owned label, Twenty Nine Music Group. The album features four skits with music created for the album by Leo Son. The album features guest appearances by Logic, Young Thug, Chris Brown, Timbaland, Fabolous, and King OSF. Chris Tucker and Kevin Hart both appear on skits. Production was handled by Boi-1da, Timbaland, Highself, Jahaan Sweet, Illmind, Bregma among others.
